Big Rainbow Lower Arrow Lake BC Dec 9 2019

Please forgive my foul language.... I was more than a little excited when my uncle caught this 14 pound rainbow! Great day with 2 fish on board. Been a long time since I've seen a rainbow that big up close! Thanks to my fishing partners out there.... Tony, Doug and Joe. Awesome day!

nice fish! you find the big fish still up near the surface this late in the season?

seems to be..... i'm seeing guys out there with nothing but planer boards going 3.3 mph. no downriggers. i still put the downrigger in at a few depths because i've always had so much luck with it.

submrg thanks, I’ve had a ruff time figuring out the big lakes once surface water temp drops below 50f.

yah, I'm not a real great fisherman but I love to be out there! Arrow is a really productive lake for us locally. Seems like you're likely to get a rainbow or dolly out there most times. You have an awesome channel!

@@submrg Thanks, I'll have to try it out sometime. I want to get back down to the Columbia river this summer again and give it a try for walleye. Last time didn't go so well. Thanks for checking out my channel.

I haven't seen any other species of fish in the river except for the sturgeon. 10 years ago I used to see massive schools of kokanee and walleye all the time but no more. Nothing but sturgeon.
