But it’s big red machines song so it’s probably more about Aaron dessners life and Taylor helped write it. Aaron struggled with depression so I think it’s about how his wife and family dealt with that.

Aaron has his own song in here that is out already and it’s great. Read his description of the song meaning/purpose on his IG/Twitter. It’s a wonderful song - Ghosts of Cincinnati (it is here on YT and he plays guitar on it and sings (which he says Taylor really encouraged him to sing more himself - she was right!)

i really loved how in taylors songs shes always the other person perspective, the one whos struggling and being hard to deal with, and in this song its the other way around. also girlie really sang their whole song and made justin vernon do backing vocals lmao

I saw an interview clip with Aaron this afternoon that was about 15 minutes long. His praise for working with Taylor was really very sweet and sincere. He called her a savant. He seemed very impressed with her ability to write relatable songs. And obviously, he loves working with Justin since this is their side project. I really like the collaboration with the 3 of them.

It is isnt just mental health that can create this. For me, years ago, it was someone who refused to grow up - often behaving like an 18 yr old about partying, attitude towards work/career. They had so much potential but just couldn’t take stuff seriously, including the consequences of their actions. Took me way too long to walk away (last I heard, he still had t ‘grown up’).
@a.k.41573 жыл бұрын
The lyrics of this one hit so deep especially as someone whose mental health issues have ruined relationships in the past... there was no need to call me out like this... I would really really love for you to react to the entire album when it comes out. The other two songs that have been released so far are SO GOOD as well, Aaron is even lead vocalist in one and he sounds great!
