This tractor trailer was loaded with approximately 20,000lbs of mail. Not sure what caused him to veer off the freeway, but I responded with Hulk (50 ton rotator) and was met by Lacky in a heavy wrecker. There are lots of ways to do a job like this, but because the tractor was in a ditch and the hill was pretty steep, I decided that stabilizing the trailer while the wrecker winches it back up was the best method.
The way I rigged it allowed me to not allow keep the trailer steady from tipping over, but also to lift the front of the trailer and rear axle of the tractor at the same time. This was very helpful towards the end when the landing gear was stuck and I was able to lift it high enough to clear.

The people have spoken, I need more practice with the GoPro 360 max lol. Fish eye distortion seems to be the biggest complaint, which I will definitely address in all future videos. The audio as well, I was using an external mic here and it kept unplugging on me.

when I saw the truck in the ditch I realized what a huge amount of confidence you need to take on a job like this. There are so many things that can go wrong in the process, and you need a lot of experience and understanding of physics to get this one right. There are no do-overs, if you rig it wrong and it rolls, it rolls, no holding it back. Great work, very professionally done, you, Hulk and your co-workers are a great team and a pleasure to watch.

Thank you! I had a lot of thoughts when I saw this one, my instinct tells me no problem, but my brain saw many complications. That's why I went with my best internal game plan, to lift the rear axles while also cradling the trailer to prevent it from toppling over as it came up the steep and bumpy hill.

yeah, I have the same problem. Due to the old wiring where I live, I can't get super fast internet and only watch in 480p and that made this video with the 360 camera very blurry and grainy to watch. All other videos with standard type cameras are fine, even in 480p only.

I had forgotten this video. For what is worth, I learned in armour school that with tanks it is easier to pull them out the way they came in. Seemed to apply here. Admired the rigging, kept the casualty upright and I guess helped clear the concrete. Great job!

I did not like the fish eye. I thought it was distracting and the sound on this video was very hard to hear what you were saying. Maybe the traffic noise was just really loud that day? You guys always do great work. I feel sorry for the guy that was driving that rig.

I have always loved your videos and the work you do. I hate to complain, but I feel you'd rather know when things aren't as good. The helmet view about makes me nauseous and I only made it about 15 minutes. One other thing the mic sounds like it's also some how pointing at everything except who's talking. I could barely hear what you where say, yet I think I may have heard the radio in the truck when you walked by it. Once again please know I love your show and I'm only saying anything because I want too continue enjoying it. Is there any way to record in both formats? Yes, I'm going to take it easy with the new GoPro MAX camera. It's amazing, but it definitely isn't as good as my Hero 7 for action footage on my helmet. I'm still learning how to edit it, so in the future they will be much better. As for the sound, I bought an external microphone but it kept getting unplugged which is my the audio is garbage. Thank you so much for the honest feedback.

We all have our preferences in the video. (I like the 360 video, but it tends to overwhelm my ancient computer. Time to upgrade I guess.) But what really impressed me was the audio. That non-stop traffic noise brought back a lot of memories of working all day in lane closures. I'm recently retired from a career in highway construction and I don't miss that constant noise, dust and traffic one bit. Stay safe.

Good job Team PEPPE'S! Josh I liked this view locked in better. Sorry, I'm a techy guy but not gonna buy a VR for my phone it gets to hot and buffers. Have you thought about a Camelback to keep fluids right on ya during the hot days in Cali? Then you wouldn't have to stop to go to Hulk's fridge. Would an officer had given ya some water? I'm sure they carry a bunch of bottles in a cooler or something.

Is there a reason that the tractor and trailer is pulled out together? It seems to me that separating the units would ease the equipment stress. BTW: I stopped the video several times to take advantage of the 360 views .. really liked the new feature. I thought you mentioned that a camera would be mounted on a tripod?

Why would we cage the brakes? I need them locked when pulling up, what would happen in the event that a chain snaps. That trailer would go all the way back down and possibly flip.

Gopros by default have the fish eye distortion, that's how they're able to do super field of view capturing with a single lens. I made a 360 video and this non 360 one and people still aren't happy lol
