I love the sound... Even more than upper end spruce topped guitars... Solid cedar sounds gorgeous and the guitar definitely sounds huge. The only issue i find is that i seem to find the sound demos of this guitars to be string buzzing... I guess they are pretty low setup

This Takamine vs Yamaha Fg 800?

First off, we need to note that it's all subjective. With that being said, I would go with the Takamine. The finish is very durable and generally speaking you can get the action lower on the Takamines. Both guitars are good for their respective price points.

@@jesuslopez6873 Yamaha has remarkable consistency throughout the company lineup. They use a high gloss finish on the FG830 I believe. So really it comes down to personal preference regarding aesthetics. I think the Takamine sounds a little better, but again that's subjective.
