Karl, have you found that even in colder temps in this early spring weather transition that crappie will still move in close to the bank? I’m talking weather between 50-55 degrees……also, I have access to two different lakes near me, one is large (2,500-3,000 acres) and the other is small (700 acres) both hold crappie….wouldn’t the smaller lake be easier to catch them during these fluctuating temperatures because it’s much smaller and it’ll warm up quicker? I’m a bank crappie fisherman so any advice you can give is appreciated!!

Awesome reply, thanks for watching and the comments. Yes, first ice off, the giant gals go shallow for a period, we have caught them in 40+ degree temps in back of shallow canals. Yes, smaller the lake the warmer it gets, faster. Good luck.
