For sure mate it is definitely a must have for squidding! Teasers are also a fantastic technique to get great catch rates!

Hi mate, really interesting video on techniques to catch squid. I like the way you were using more than one rod set up, and monitoring for bites, as i have never done it that way before. I normally just flick a jig out and hope for the best. I am interested on how you were using the teaser, was it just a Tommie tied onto your line with a swivel or did you have it on a squid spike? How do you set your depth on the float, do you change depth depending on where you are? Sorry for all the questions :)

Howdy mate! Thanks for watching and supporting the video it’s much appreciated! The tommy is attached just via a swivel through both the top and the bottom jaws. The depth on the float generally stays the same as i fish similar water depths in each location. I set the float in place via a splitshot sinker. I probably give a good 6ft of line from float to tommy. No problem, ask as many questions as possible!

@@SB-fd1kv Hi mate, for sure! I find squid tend to get more aggressive when there is no spike as they feel more comfortable hitting something that looks more natural. I find 9 times out of 10, the teaser would get hit rather than the spike!

You are not using your rod flex when the squid is on hence you missed a couple. Always maintain the rod's bend so it always give pulling pressure to the lure. Do not point the rod to the lure like what you are doing here.

I presume you are talking about the squid gaf. A few places make them now, they are super handy and are a must have for all squidders!
