Still amazed firstly how much research you do before planning your itinerary, secondly filming, editing and narrating the reviews and thirdly to be able to continue to publish two videos per week….🤯 Still blows my mind especially at such high quality 💎 BTW…has Lufthansa contacted you yet 😅 Thank you for another great review 🙏🏼

LH hasn't said a peep! haha... I am quite confident the video went around the company as well. On the 4th day or so 1100 people all watched it from the same link associated with FB, would make a lot of sense if that was the video spreading through the company. But yeah, I don't expect anything. If they were interested in replying, they would have done it right away- and it's hard to imaging not a single person in upper management there hasn't seen it yet.

Glad that you covered Asiana before they disappear into history. That baggage wait thing(waiting at the end of the counter) happens a lot in Korea, while I am not sure what is the exact standard(by route, by airline, or by checkin staff) for such request. I do miss those old days that I occasionally went to HCMC for business trip, but watching many Korean trying their best to have so much fun with Vietnamese girls was not something I want to witness.

Thanks for your video review - was great viewing. I just flew with Asiana for the first time (and published a review to YT a few days before yours) and really found the experience to be excellent. The seating was extremely comfortable, and although sort of drab, after 4 long haul flights I ended up enjoying the colour palette more than I thought I would 🫣 it was sort of warm? I’m flying on ANA next, and the business class cabin looks so clinical, I think I’ll miss Asiana’s! Once again, excellent video as always.

I agree. I like OZ's BC, staff, meals, and seats in the 777. There is also something about the livery that I like too, it changes my perception of the older 777s and makes them more appealing than they already are. KE does it for me too in the livery department as well Cheers.

Great video, as always! Pro tip for skipping immigration both ways: the Park Hyatt Saigon offers airport fast track service for arrival/departure (roughly $70 each way) so, if you're willing to spend the cash on a night there, you can request that service and get through immigration in 5min flat both ways instead of waiting for hours :) I'm sure there are other ways to do this too but this is the one I know so I thought I'd share! Cheers!

As local, I can tell the traffic does not have steady flow at all time, traffic jams happen regularly at 8-9am (before work), 5-7pm (after work). The hotspot is District 1, 3, Gò Vấp; Cộng Hoà, Trường Chinh street

Agreed regarding the red eye north/south food menu in SE Asia being breakfast focused. I did BKK-HND in F a couple of weeks back on JAL, departing at 10pm, and it was a bit of a disappointment precisely because of this. All the pax in F were getting loaded while picking away at the relatively slim pickings, so most slept through the very serious breakfast.

Yeah, JAL is one not to mess with on night time departures. Their late night flight out of SFO (I believe) doesn't even get a meal after take off.

News broke recently that Vietnam Airlines does not intent to operate in the new T3 terminal, but the news didn’t cover too much as for what specific reasons. I assume it have to do with connecting between the T3 and existing terminal is not convenient, according to ACV, they plan to use buses and it takes up to 15 minutes to travel between them.

To my knowledge they never intended to. T3 I always understood to essentially be a terminal just for Vietjet.

Another amazing review! I have always been intrigued by Asiana and especially Korean carriers. My first ever international trip was on Korean Air’s A330-300 from BOM to ICN. Since then Korean and Asiana have pulled out a lot of direct services from India and they now operate only from Delhi direct. I wonder what could be the reason for that as it used to be THE fastest choice to west coast of US from India at one point. I hope they come back to India and I get to travel on their amazing products.
@tfft8 ай бұрын
The Korean carriers have never performed amazingly well. KE’s resurgence is in large part due to the deal with DL and DL couldn’t care less about India lol
@AmolNimbalkar8 ай бұрын
@@tfft Haha makes complete sense! Lol DL used to operate connection between JFK-BOM which they discontinued and it makes sense why they wouldn't want to invest here given they have a major market of their own to cater to which will help them generate the kind of revenue they envision. :)

I love Asiana biz. Took the A380 BKK-ICN-LAX r/t. Great seat, and i like the bathroom window and amenities. The seat was wonderful and I didn't even realize that the aircraft was moving until we were about to go airborne because it was such a smooth ride on the top deck. The ICN lounge was ok (couldn't hold a candle to KrisFlyer But still good). Great experience and would fly them again. We had a totally different interior by the way. I don't recognize this on the triple seven. It looks awful. But the A380 was gorgeous

I used Asiana a ton in 1999, flying them monthly between LAX and Seoul, first via old Gimpo airport in Seoul and then the new one in Inchon. I also flew them weekly between Seoul and Yosu on the southern tip of the Korean peninsula. Why Asiana connecting through LAX from Chicago instead of Korean Air direct from Chicago to Seoul? Two reasons. The primary one was Korean Air's terrible safety record. They were flying about one 747 per year into terrain. [A couple of years later, Korean Air's CEO and has son were charged with stealing almost US$70 million from the safety and maintenance budget and sentenced to prison.] The second was that Asiana was part of OneWorld at the time, and I was Executive Platinum on American. Their upper deck Business Class service was excellent. My airfare was paid by my consulting client in Korea, so I had to fly Business and not First.
