Nice job on the tarpon. Got a suggestion on your anchor setup; install an anchor trolley, it gives you options on what direction you want your kayak to face, secondly if you need to detach from it, all you do is unclip the anchor line, then come back and pick up your anchor once you're done releasing the fish...easy peasy. As for tarpon that big you gotta get off that anchor and let him pull you around. Give it time and you will figure things out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXW7Y3ylebWZptE

I don’t swim on kayaks but letting the fish pull you and the drag is what you want.

Cast net, actually. Usually I catch them casting lures, though.

@@CarsonPrichard nice Ima have a nice 3 day back to back fishing weekend this Friday - Sunday. cedar key /Yankeetown. last weekend I seen tarpon rolling and even a a musky follow my paddle tail right up to my paddle board but no luck.
