Big Things Coming To Session! (New Map and Updates)

Looks like we're getting some fixes and a new map in Session: Skate Sim soon. That map is called Paris so I'm expecting some real life spots in there! We were also teased some fixes for the bounce glitch and unrealistic physics coming out of manuals and ledges.

THE 1990S AND SKATE CULTURE
Inspired by the golden age of street skating - the 1990s - Session: Skate Sim lets you experience true skateboarding and its culture: no scoring system; just you, your spot and your imagination! And because certain locations are iconic, the developers have added several of them to the game for you to skate in and express your creativity, including Black Hubbas (New York City), Brooklyn banks (New York City), FDR Park (Philadelphia) and many other spots.

Skating and pulling off the best lines in the best spots is one thing, but if no one is there to film it, it didn't really happen… In Session: Skate Sim, you can film with a 1990s filter or fisheye lens, and you can use the video editor to create your clips and share them. You can play with multiple options, including changing the field of view, time of day, filters, and different camera views (tripod, orbit, etc.). Session: Skate Sim also offers the chance to go from skater to filmmaker: pull off your moves then go into film mode to experience the action from the point of view of your camera operator and create the best clip.
CUSTOMIZATION
Show off your style with an extensive customization system for your skater and skateboard. By completing challenges, you earn money to spend in skate shops. You can find nearly 200 items (hoodies, shoes, caps, T-shirts, trousers, etc.) from top brands, such as Fallen, Zero, GrindKing, Thankyou, HIJINX Net, Antilanta, Roger Skate CO, No-Comply, iDabble and others. You can also customise your skateboard with over 250 parts, such as wheels, trucks and many other components from famous brands like, No-Comply, GindKing, Thankyou and many others. i think a lot has already been fixed. from my KZbin journeys there is a LOT of "skate 1-3" players who absolutely hate session lol mostly the ppl who see a 3 flat 3 and say "yeah i can 1080 christ air that" lol

I have been enjoying the new maps, and combining famous spots together is way better than a map with lots of empty space. I'm really hoping for the mechanics to improve, getting grabs, and transition skating, once the UE5 upgrade is done. Also, I would LOVE Steam Workshop support

Things I want to see in Session further: - wallie and wallrides (I've already figured out controls for wallrides, you skates toward to the wall, ollieing up and mid-air input controls same to Smith/Feeble grind - improved bank and transition skating (it impossible to skate steep banks in Sesh) - more ways to character customization (socks, bags, more types of pants and tops, more hairstyles) - fixed ankles in Physical Animation - fixed Switch 360 Hard in Regular Stance

Munk also dropped a cool offset varial heel catch in the official server coupe days ago if you haven't seen. These "wip" fixes are for future updates,not the next one. JL informed is in official server. So don't be surprised when bounce is still there next update. Side note, ive been using the enable grans mod and you can get some ok melons, indy or nose grab. Def not perfect but better than nothing lol Been doing them down leap of faith😂

I have this bug where I load in and I can't skate (properly anyway). The Camera is stuck at the spawn point and it's like the gravity is so heavy that when I do a trick I just stay near the ground tho I can basically do infinite kickflips and stuff and say I do push my body stretches out, etc. I have got a few mods on but just selecting a different map (Maybe even the same map) I'm guessing with the refresh it fixes it and works normal

it's a common bug. some kind of physics failure. i do think it is related to mods. you are right that reloading the game or even just the map fixes it

@@natedizzy4939 I noticed it happening when I put a Shoe Mod on as when I have that mod on and it's usually if I hit a rail dead on then it crashes my game (I can't remember the error code). I'm kind of just living with it tho as I love the shoes but idk why they have to be so detailed lamoo they look better than everything in the game and idk how to take the ones out which I don't use as I think it's like 4GB. I'm glad to know it isn't just me but it's a minor issue for me out of the enjoyment I get from the game and my high asf quality Nike's

@@kalijames3052 when you pick goofy, the animations are still regular stance animations. So when you ride goofy, you are actually riding switch regular.

I really don't get them. First they say they can't do Barca real-life spots because of licensing issues. Then they make the School map with real-life spots and now Paris. So obviously licensing isn't a problem. Why keep ignoring the community who has been asking for a Barca map for a long time now? Weird choices.

Give us DLSS, god damnit! The TAA implementation in it sucks with very obvious ghosting visible on the board. With DLSS we would likely not have this on top of getting better performance.

Most people don't know that if you tape the button to get on the board once, you'll get on your board normally. Whereas if you double tap the board mount button, you'll get on the board switch. Then place a session marker and you'll respawn in switch

They could release 100 map’s tomorrow and put every pro skater that ever lived as unlockable character and I wouldn’t care. The animation are shotty, the missions don’t register tricks about 25% of the time, the turning and acceleration still feel janky, there’s no animations for thow downs. The game has a lot alot of potential but the devs are working on adding more content when the core gameplay loop still feels unfinished. I put a lot of hours in the game, I don’t regret spending money on it but I’m not coming back untill that game actually feels and looks better.
