the thing i always tell myself about consistency, content, and your own creativity is that your audience is there. they might not be *here* yet but they’ll find you & they’ll be so excited to see what you’re doing. and ultimately, we create our art for ourselves, we make videos we want to see, and if we keep that mentality the rest will fall in place

TRULY, cuz like the alternative is making work for the sole purpose of trying to chase some imagined bigger better audience or view count or whatever crowd you think the algorithm wants you to win over, and best case scenario even if that were done successfully then... what then? you'd just have a bunch of subscribers to cater to who wouldn't be interested if you ever try to pivot into what you really wanna do.

so gratifying to hear that this struck a chord 😊 and so sweet of you to leave all these comments! i also love to leave comments in this fashion of multiple entries cuz firstly just easier on me to treat it kinda like chat and just type as i'm watching as soon as i hear something i wanna reply to, and then secondly of course it also supposedly pleases the algorithm gods when there's eNgAgEmEnT so more comments is always better than fewer. but sometimes i hear creators say that they prefer to just have all of a commenter's thoughts compiled in one entry for them to read and reply all in one spot, so i curb the tendency unless i get the impression a creator vibes with it. THE VIBES ARE STRONG WITH THIS ONE.

i’ve always loved the idea of doing seasonal content, so even if you want to continue to upload weekly you can have “filler” seasons while you’re planning your bigger projects
