The Spider Mod Report: Day 72 Once again, even with the help of a Victory Lap and the Hush store, we still didn’t see our beloved hero, Spider Mod. May he find his way back hone sooner rather than later. But what a fantastic run! After the admittedly rough start, that Diplopia turnaround was just the kickstart the run needed to shift the momentum in Sinvicta’s favor. And it was all downhill for the game after that. Another great and satisfying victory down. Day 1 of documenting my home-brew kombucha journey: today I started an experiment with a small batch of tea while I wait for my larger glass jugs to arrive in the mail. I boiled about 2 and 1/2 cups of water with a quarter cup of sugar and steeped 2 black tea bags in it. Then I added ice cubes to bring it to 3 cups and cool it to room temperature. Finally I added it to a large mason jar with my SCOBY (the bacteria and yeast life force behind the fermentation), and covered it loosely with a paper towel and rubber band. The tea tastes very sweet and is missing the sour vinegarey flavor right now. The main goal of this experiment is to find out ratios, how long I need to let the tea ferment, and to try and let my SCOBY grow a bit before I attempt a larger batch. See yall tomorrow!

The other night I lost a 2/3 guppy run because my movement speed was so bad & never got an upgrade so that I could not get through a room to the boss room because I could not out run the gravity/sucker stone faces which pulled me into spikes for all 9 lives & 8 hearts. Was such a great feeling.

Day 176 of Touring with Sinvicta: First difference of the day comes from taking Infestation 2 from the blind item room on floor 1. My boss item was also Marrow, not Caffeine Pill. Not great. The floor 2 Diplopia play was great. I got Pandora’s Box out of the curse room and took it with me down to the next floor for a boss item. The golden chest in the vault gave me Bomb Bag. I used Black Rune on Bum Friend that I found in a crawl space for range and luck. In Caves 1, I took advantage of my bone heart and my infinite patience to play in the sacrifice room to see what it would give. I ended up getting a garbage angel deal where I only touched Dead Sea Scrolls so it won’t show up again over 7 Seals. The sacrifice room also paid out with both key pieces and Rosary Beads. I bought Car Battery, There’s Options and Blank Card. Pandora’s Box only gave me Mom’s Lipstick. I took Blood Clot from the boss room since I’m already tears capped and at full HP, so Mr. Dolly would be mostly useless. Flooded Caves 2 paired Blank Card with an Emperor Card. Rune Bag from the item room might end up being huge. A red chest in the curse room sent me to a Krampus fight for Lump of Coal. Another red chest in the curse room spawned the Bible for Book Worm. I left the floor with a Dagaz rune. In Dank Depths 1, the trap room gave me Head of the Keeper. I bought BFFs from the shop. I did not take Brimstone. Instead I used a Perthro rune to get a less than satisfying Rotten Baby. Dank Depths 2 finally gave me the Black Rune I wanted. The item room gave me Mom’s Perfume for a 4 tear delay. I also bought Starter Deck from the shop. In the devil deal, I did take Guppy’s Head, Guppy’s Hairball and Spirit of the Night. I used Perthro on Guppy’s Head to get Succubus. I also picked up the Bloody Crown. In Scarred Womb 2, after some head scratching and a lucky Dagaz rune, I was able to abuse a Judgement card, Algiz run and Full charge to get some items. I ended up picking up the Virus, Caffeine Pill, Sin Robes, Gimpy, Contract from Below, Sinus Infection and some stat ups thanks to Blank rune. Sheol offered no resistance. The Dark Room gave me Lusty Blood, Pyro, Mystery Sack, Blood of the Martyr, Bloody Lust, The Soul, Toxic Shock, Continuum, Money = Power, Holy Light, Host Hat, Pupula Duplex, Dead Eye and some stat ups. A quick Lamb kill let me into my victory lap. Victory Lap Highlights: A very difficult decision between Sacred Heart and the Wafer from a first floor sacrifice room sending me to an angel deal where I took Sacred Heart, More Options, Habit, Black Candle, Jesus Juice, Growth Hormones, Spun, The Battery, Fanny Pack, Champion Belt, Judas’ Freakin’ Shadow (took me to 396.15 damage with Dead Eye), Cracked Crown showed up, Hive Mind, Mom’s Key, Treasure Map, Smelter just to swallow Cracked Crown, Belly Button, 9 Volt, Pentagram, Dead Eye #2 (does it stack?), Death’s List (I need a Sinvicta explanation on this one), Dead Cat, Guppy finally, The Mind (Boss Rush), a very flashy Boss Rush, Guppy’s Tail, Tarot Cloth (Old Hushy shop), Key Bum (Old Hushy), a very dead Old Hushy even though I couldn’t see anything on the screen other than pinkish white light, Contract from Below #2, Tractor Beam, Lead Pencil, Polyphemus (my tears were big enough before this), The Mulligan, Serpent’s Kiss, Sac Dagger, Pisces, 20/20, Inner Eye, Parasitoid, Mitre, Capricorn, Cricket’s Body, SMB Super Fan, Purity, Fat Odd Mushroom, Spoon Bender, Proptosis, Tech X (needed to get my giant tears in order), Proptosis (Succubus buffed to 1330.99 damage!), Cricket’s Head (Now at 2037 with Succubus), Lusty Blood #2 and Eve’s Freakin’ Mascera (3054.98 unbuffed and 4583.05 buffed). The Chest needed no tears to utterly destroy thanks to Toxic Shock. I was happy that Mega Stanley sent me into the Void to see if Delirium can be killed by Toxic Shock alone. In the Void, the game decided to add Mom’s Box to my arsenal. Now up to a brand new high (I’m pretty sure) for me of 3855.85 unbuffed and 5785.12 buffed damage.Unfortunately, my personally unprecedented damage couldn’t be decisively said to make Toxic Shock strong enough to kill Delirium alone. It seemed to take take a second or so to kick in. In that second, Daddy Long Legs and maybe a few spiders/flies made their way to shut down Delirium as well. Either way, there was no firing needed by me for the whole level. Fun run and incredibly powerful build when it was all done. Would recommend.
