Big Toe Pain "FIX" with Carbon Plate

Let me show you a great way of taking pressure off off the big toe joint if you've had "turf toe", hallux rigidus, and other orthopedic toe issues agitated by extension of the big toe. I like to use a carbon plate and sometimes have a carbon fiber plate strip added to a custom orthotic. Here you will see how and why they work.

ok..great Idea, but where can I buy a set of the carbon blade on the insole/ orthodic I had my big toe amputated and need to add some flex resistance to the shoe. My Middle toe, or the next one in line is getting over flexed.

My podiatrist says to use a shoe that has low resistance to bending allowing less friction and stress at the big toe but you have suggested to stiffen that up. Not sure about this.

I’m Heading to fusion surgery after four years of injections and wearing orthotics / stiff sole shoes…I’m in constant pain, absolutely horrible…have to ice my foot to get to sleep. My podiatrist was shocked that I actually cracked my carbon plate insert (I thought it was to be expected…things wear out)🤷‍♀️ so I guess I’m a heavy walker (I also have severe hip pain from arthritis due to sports injury) Anyhow, I’ve put it off for too long now, severely limited my exercise where some days I even have trouble walking around the house. ( I love go8ng for long walks with my dogs so this is a real quality of life issue) I spoke with the surgeon scheduler today….I’m actually looking forward to getting the fusion- I need this to be past tense ASAP! (So I can finally get back to my typically energetic and trim self)

Which company makes this type of custom orthotic? I got a pair of orthotics from Hanger Clinic and I’m not pleases they didn’t do a carbon plate all the way down to the end of the orthotic, I’m hoping they’ll remake it.

My right foot when I bend my big toe at that joint it hurts and all around the base of my toe is red and hurts when I walk and somebody said it could be dystonia can you make any reply to this please thank you

This will not help if you have pain to touch the bottom of the big toe joint. Only helpful if the joint hurts when bent backwords

Would a carbon fiber plate help alleviate pain from Morton's Neuroma?

Not necessarily. Improving calf flexibility and an orthotic with a metatarsal pad could help along with a rocker bottom shoe.

Amazon, i bought one but it really didn't help me at all. It actually hurt a little because its a carbon fiber plate and my big toe can feel it. I guess it all depends on how bad your big toe is?

HOKA shoes make me feel like Bozo the Clown shoes.

They do take some time to get used to but I have great success with them for certain foot and ankle issues
