It’s amazing how big these tractors are on the road. Do they need a permit to move on the road when they take up both lanes?

@Jacob_64205 жыл бұрын
Stupid question maybe but do those kinze tracked grain carts get pulled on the road to transport everywhere?
@bigtractorpower5 жыл бұрын
Good question. The Kinze cart just rolls down the road on tracks as well as it does on tires.
@Jacob_64205 жыл бұрын
@@bigtractorpower interesting, wasn't sure if it wore the tracks out faster than tires or not. Guess it wouldnt be too convenient having to haul it everywhere though
@bigtractorpower5 жыл бұрын
The only to be careful with on track wear is making sure to make wide 120 ft turns. Short turns really wear the tracks fast.

Hi, I´m from Germany and I love your videos. Is there any regulation on road transport in the us? Here in Germany are many regulations on road transport for farm equipment.
@bigtractorpower5 жыл бұрын
There are not really any restrictions I am aware of moving from field to field. Most often they run a truck ahead of the machines to let people know they are on the road. It’s not required but the farms do it for safety.

Can you do a video with the 2010 era John Deere equipment? Ex: John Deere 9630 on cart or seeder and a 9870sts or a 9330 and a 9770
@bigtractorpower5 жыл бұрын
I really don’t have any current footage in quality digital. If you look way back in my 1,000 videos to my first years on KZbin in 2012 and 2011 there is lots of footage of 9870STS combines and 9630 and 9330 4wds. The farms I film at trade every year so those late 2000s machines are long gone. If I spot some in the field I will film them as new high quality digital footage would be nice to share. Here is a new 9870STS I filmed going to the field for the first time 7 years ago m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXWulYyPrdNsf6c Here is a 9630 I filmed 7 years ago m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHKnc4N_eptoj6c Here is a 9330 from 6 years ago kzbin.info/www/bejne/g57QfXWfo86Zqq8

Something sorta unsettling about watching them drive down the road. Im sure it's a calculated decision but that's alot of non harvest hours on them combines
@bigtractorpower5 жыл бұрын
They have to get from one field to the next. While most of these farms run in 500 to 1,000 acre fields when one field is done they have to get to the next one.
@Alex-uy7pc5 жыл бұрын
@@bigtractorpower yea there's really no other way to do it. Even if you skipping farms in spots, to have semis there would just be silly. I work at a cemetery, fleet mechanic. We have a guy that refuses to drive anything but the backhoe he digs graves with. No matter what he's doing he's in it. Since it's up north if he's in it, it's running. Sorta bugs me and the boss is too whinny to say anything. So I sorta gotta sore spot to seeing tractors on pavement too long.
