You mentioned Nelipots and thats a really good little bar. A very friendly landlady and very distinctive deco. The bob inn has good beers and an agreeable price, but a shame they didn't like filming. The funky asian food place in the market is quite good, and a pint from the Bob Inn makes a good meal. Just a shame it all closes so early.

Great video, the malt and hops as always been an excellent pub since it opened. Really good to see it still going strong. The railway used to be really good for real ale too, when big Steve ran it in the 90s. 🍺👍

The Malt and Hops is great. They have a real open fire in winter. It's so cosy and full of everyday, ordinary people. x.

Managed four of the pubs you went to in September 2024, totally agree with your thoughts on the Malt 'n' Hops, it was my first of the day. My days out tend to be midweek and 12-5 to allow for travel so the pubs are generally quieter than you find, will watch some more now.

I do like living in Chorley and the malt and railway are my locals. We are really spoilt for pubs but there used to be loads more sadly lots closed down

Ringwood 49er and Best Bitter are top Hampshire beers. The saddest fact is the small brewery on the edge of the New Forest, was closed by bloody Marstons a couple of years ago. As the brewery tour was also brilliant in the bar at the end where the beers kept flowing!!

Railway looks as if its a Marstons pub - half the beer pumps shown are about to be discontinued. No brand loyalty with them. Avoid

Back in the 90s you could have done lots of boozers in Salford but you could also have been shot in any of em , shame really cause there were some belters ,,, Brass Talley, Brass handles, Kettledrum, Paddock , The Ship , Woolpack , to name a couple. There's lots more a lot of which still not shut down .

Starting early today, only one beer so far, but now its on to the Horintos, reposado, tequila. Gentlemen rev your engines! Ha, ha. But honestly, I'd rather be hitting the pubs with you guys/ blokes/mates, over there. Cheers! I liked the Shepards Hall bar maid with the twinkle in her eye and her good humorus nature. My dad served in WW II in the Canadian army serving as a Major. His jeep was hit by a V2 rocket, and when he came to, the briefcase handcuffed to his wrist was gone. Funny enough, his sister was serving as a nurse in the hospital when he recovered. Some srapnel caught his head, but other than suffering headaches which caused him to put off having kids for a while, he recovered with no problems to his brain and he lead a successful life. He used to have red hair but after his head was shaved, it grew back black. Weird huh? I always have to ask people in the US if they know what an English bobbie is before I tell them this joke: What did the bobbie say when he found his wife in bed with two guys? Heeello, hello! Anyway, I was watching the story of the Dambusters on Prime and these old British airmen talked about going to see a comedian Tommy Trinder after they sank the Tirpitz.
