Samsung has finally launched their brand new update to the Samsung wallet app. It can now be downloaded. It replaces and updates Samsung pass and Samsung pay, and makes them one cool app.

Becuase in some countries, when adding a card, they need to call your bank to verify. Of course another option is to send a sms but when you open the app, it asks for permission

I can't get my fingerprint to work! I think my fingers have worn smooth over the years. My phone is s22, previous was s20 with same problem.

Bill, I had the same issue when trying to set wallet up. I had to remove and then reinstall wallet and the scanner then worked.

Canadian with an Australian Note living in the Philippines. Unless things change in wallet (not yet available for me, here) like the Samsung pay, which is locked to Australian credit cards etc. Do you know if they changed that? So I can use my Canadian credit cards or Philippines credit cards etc?

Switched to wallet after it was added in a software update. When I was setting it up it wouldn't go past the fingerprint scanner. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app which fixed that set-up issue. I used it the next day and it actually worked. I could never get Samsung pay to work.

Watched Jonathan Casey's video & he switched to Google Pay because Samsung will just Take your Rewards. You have to use them within a certain time or they'll just take your cash

As long as I can still pay I am good but I mostly use my watch. I haven't tried it since the update cause I left it at home today but my phone worked and I usually always use my watch and not phone anymore but today it worked on phone just like the watch. I don't know about Samsung Pass and if I have to put it in my wallet or can leave it separate. I still have Samsung Pass app icon but I see where I can add it to wallet but haven'd done it.

Samsung pay and Samsung pass will be combined into Samsung wallet. Once you install the wallet and the framework it will remove the Samsung pay and pass apps from your phone.

What Samsu... I mean Apple Jr. is keeping quiet is that this update/merger is only for Samsung Pay enabled phones. So the mid rangers that only have Pass and not Pay apparently will be stuck with Pass or maybe even lose it if they plan of phasing it out. I guess I'll wait for Google Pay to become Google Wallet again in 2030 since Google drags their feet with everything.

I opened Samsung Pay yesterday and I had to update it said a new version is available I don't think I had an option to not do it. I had an update to Samsung Pass last week and I see now you can add pass to wallet but I haven't done that yet. I did get gas today and forgot my watch at home so I used my phone and it worked. I do like having my membership cards like Costco and Sams in there though.
