Great work on the printer and bringing on these improvements.

The Rook 180 is one of my favourite printers from your creations and after building one, it is a great machine to tinker around and learn with. This new revision feels very exiting! I'll get the parts printing for it ASAP.

Is there going to be instruction on how to assemble the bearings/idlers and belt routing. I understand 3d printers pretty well, but this will be a first-time corexy build for me. This was very appealing to me because of the cost to fun ratio as building a trident would be way too overkill and expensive for me. Also, is it equipped with sensorless homing because I didn't see the typical little omron switches in the BOM
@Rolohaun10 ай бұрын
yes it uses sensorless homing, defiantly join the discord and we can help you with the belt path. It's pretty easy once you start building! I also have a 3D view on my website that has the belt routing www.rolohaun3d.ca/3d-printers

@Rolohaun sweet thanks! I just took a look at the cad, and it seems like it isn't too complicated

Hi Rolohaun. I was wondering how you program the motherboard. Is it just adding your files to the sd card on the mks board. I didnt really find anything about that.(I also dont have much experience with it,but still wonder .)

@@Rolohaun you should definitely be talking to 3d printing companies. With this kind of project under your belt it should be easy to find a new job. That doesn't mean the feeling doesn't suck right now though. Sorry to hear about the layoff

Could yu make an industrial-tier 300x300 printer, similar to the HS3 and Bambu X1? I plan on building my own completely from scratch (design, etc.) Where do I start?

If I remember correctly, the conclusion to Simplecore was, "just build a Trident for the same money"

The new Panda is scalable to 300x300

I don't design printers that large but my designs are pretty east to scale up. To design your own you need to learn CAD and start there

I have some klipper tutorials on my channel and the printer config for this printer is on printables
@peterlernout71214 ай бұрын
Hi there is the setup of the motherboard as easy as just overwriting the config files on the sd drive ?(I dont have a lot of experience with these boards) Beautifull printer otherwise.

Would there be any benefit to strength and stability of the chassis if using allthread passing through the entire length rather than the current setup?
@Rolohaun9 ай бұрын
I don't think it would be worth the effort but hard to say, I wouldn't hurt if it could be easily done
@Stinkfoot14039 ай бұрын
@@RolohaunThat's what I am thinking could be simpler and stronger with less hardware..If there is enough room to pass say 1/4" allthread through the frame. It looks like that could be challenging with the way the motors are installed.

Do you think this is scaleable to a 300mm bed or something? Or would the structural integrity fail at some point? Never the less, great job! I really love watching your creations and i am ordering some parts right now myself! Greetings from Austria!

I don't mind them but you do need to dock the bed at the bottom after every print or the bed will drop. LDO also has motors to prevent this

@Rolohaun4 ай бұрын
you need at least 6 stepper drivers so the SKR mini won't work. You can run two boards though to get enough
