Love watching BOQ videos, lived in Pictor for 3 years and ALWAYS looked forward to just before freeze up behind the harbour inn for a wicked rattle bait bite after dark!
@TaroMurata2 жыл бұрын
Best walleye action I’ve ever had was from shore near there. But the lights aren’t on there anymore. Not sure if the spot would be the same without the lights. But yeah that’s the best!!!! Timing tho.
@davidgrant63502 жыл бұрын
@@TaroMurata when I was there last (Fall 2020) the lights were on at the dock behind the inn, and watching the walleyes bust on shad was crazy. I think our best night was 10 fish all 22-29.75” between 2 guys. Couldn’t quite crack 30 but came damn close!!
@TaroMurata2 жыл бұрын
@@davidgrant6350all I can say in this… some of my fondest fishing memories is from the exact situation you’re talking about. My buddy “Felipe Lopez” , Simon and I would go all weekend long. We’d fish out of my 14’ tin can all day and cast from shore all night. We took small naps in Simons van in little shifts….then one of us would knock on the van window holding up another monster catch… instantly we knew nap time over and back to casting !!! The best times were when our rod guides were freezing up and skim was forming around us. Then van smelt like one big fart but it was worth it!!! 😂😂. Thanks for sharing. You triggered a great memory for me. I’ll put up a retro shore pic later on a community post. Xoxo TM 👊

The setup again is: Deep diving crankbait (J14 for example) -> 100 ft of line to a 2 oz drop weight -> then another 100 ft of line to rod (at 1.4mph boat speed). Looks like you are running mono? Your down rods (deepest running) are running what depth? And then your board rods are running shorter lines bringing up the lures? And as the day wears on you are running shorter lines as walleye rise in water column.
@TaroMurata2 жыл бұрын
So many different set ups. Fluoro and mono. And braid to Fluoro.
@TaroMurata2 жыл бұрын
Later in the day. Lines shorter 90-150 back. No weight.
@TaroMurata2 жыл бұрын
Yes one of g Ty e set ups that worked was 100 feet out them add 2oz snap weight and then reset counter and then let out another 100feet. Then attach the planer board and let it out to desired distance from the boat.

@@TaroMurata who said replace. Uncut fans need to forget about this poor sport. Sponsors need to drop him . AW is literally the most ungrateful KZbinr to date!
@TaroMurata2 жыл бұрын
@@bcityjfrom knowing AW first hand… when he makes videos he goes to unbelievable lengths to give the viewers the best fishing content on the planet in my opinion ( it almost gives me tears when I think of him grinding in the early years) he has so many videos that are great that will never be released because the video is not good enough in his mind. He is a perfectionist and sometimes I feel that can way heavy on you trying to live up to that standard. As a friend he has helped all of us in so many ways. We all go through all things in life, no one is perfect. Things aren’t always so black and white like we may see them here on KZbin. If someone like him makes one mistake or has a weak moment we tend to forget the other million great things they’ve done for their friends and viewers. A little unconditional love is what we all need in certain times. I’m guilty of not looking at the bigger picture too at times. As I get older life gets shorter…. So I’m learning to be more forgiving and understanding. Maybe I’m too soft or maybe I’m not 😂. All I know really is that AW is a sincere loyal friend and is truly a good person. I hope he can get back to the creative space where he can pump out gems on the regular again…

@@TaroMurata I can tell you at his wedding social it was obvious his wedding was a sham. Instead of shaking it off and calling her what she is, AW has turned his back onbthe very people who supported him no natter what .
