Ocean Beach looks like a slow version of Puerto Escondido. It also looks pretty rugged. The paddle out, the cold , and it jacks up fast, gotta be in the right place . . . Respect for the Surfers .

Thats a really good comparison. Its definitely super cold, very rugged, and can come peaking up out of nowhere. Some guys got absolutely blasted and thrown that i didnt gdt on camera. This day was especially cold and brutal. I froze just sittin on the beach filming

Lived there for almost 20 yrs. @ 45th & Fulton. Miss it much but back down in Encinitas where I grew up and from. Surfed Pacheco and about the area most of the time but walked down to Kelly's quite a bit along the 4+ mile strand. Note: Always pay respects to the locals and insane shout out to Andy Olive & Matt Lopez..Marty is now in Enci. territory ...It is an underrated wave...good to keep it that way. Matt heard you were down @ Swamis one of the Cote brothers said he accidently sliced your board in half😅Best brother! ...Best to all up North👍☝🤙🤙..

I was just going to comment this place reminds me of Puerto Escondido. And I saw some dude already did the first time I saw this place was bout 40 years ago it was giant crazy insane there was nobody out .being from so cal with my chick and was I even 18 I surfed it since then a few times but nothing like the 1st time I'd seen that joint it was massive America . Nice vid brother

It really is puerto escondido-esque. Thats epic you surfed it that long ago. Im sure hou have a lot of awesome stories from back then with nobody in the water. And thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it 😁
