It’s a good idea for everyone on the ski to have the safety key on their vest. That way if the driver falls off, the other person can start the ski .

Hey Ben , I'm certain you already know this , but . . . . . Attach a spare "Kill-Switch Key on your handle bars , it is viable and easily accessible in a "Situation" This way if the driver comes off , "Anybody" with the know-how and ability can restart the Ski and possibly be of assistance . I have 30+ years Pro Lifeguarding experience and can advise this system is invaluable & at times lifesaving . I leant this off Brian Keaulana and Darrick Doerner way back in the day : ) and as Eddie Aikau said "Prepare for The Worst , Hope for the Best"

That is not " over the falls" I know because I was trying to get my ski started while out with my brother and was launched up, over , upside down and the ski landed on me from a 15 foot wave that caught me from behind while I was preoccupied.

That was a total flashback for me. A buddy and I where doing tow-ins in Cocoa Beach back in the late 80's on a stand up 550 Kawasaki jet ski and while he was returning to get me he hit the lip on a wave and porpoised down and smashed the hull on the jet ski. Great memories. 🤙 Btw...this was way before people where using jet skis to do tow-ins.

Hey Ben, get some after market straps attached to the seat and the front hatches. I’ve seen many a ski sink in the surf when the seat pops off when the ski gets rolled and the engine bay fills with water
