Probably not going to happen. Deer camps are a private land family and friend thing but real estate prices along with the economy and inflation puts that out of reach of most.

@@knotengajin7359 Thats why i have 10 of my friends hunting our land as members. Spreads out the bills and they all get access to property to hunt. This is a typical arrangement in my part of the country.

@@thetruth3290until someone in the family eventually dies and their family wants to carve it up.. happens WAY to often around here. And land is so high don't have the money to "buy them out" usually. OR you have to completely timber the place to a wasteland to pay the inheritance tax or whatever. I know there are trusts but family down the road tends to screw everything up.

The best thing about the page is how honest it is about hunting. Not everyone can go out and kill a Bone and Crockett deer. Most will struggle to even kill a 120” buck. However, getting out to enjoy the outdoors and make memories is what it’s all about. Especially while putting some great meat on the table!

Our crew started doing deer drives in the late 60's, till we got to old and fat to do it anymore. Lots of bucks and good times were had in the farm country of mid michigan. Still hunting but in a heated deer shack now. 😂👍

These Ohio hunts are always my favorite. Growing up in west central ohio, we would drive some of the woods growing up. Now not so much. I was thinking of heading down to southern part of the state for muzzleloader this year, but we got snow in this area so I stayed home and hunted.

I wish more states would offer a super late season like this. In KY the only thing happening in January is archery for the first couple of weeks. If we had a couple weeks of muzzleloader in January i would prolly get into one.

I think KY has a fairly long muzzleloader season in December. One of these years we are going to get the crew together and hunt that season as well. Now that we are getting the hang of it we want to try new areas/states.

I wish everyone who does drives would do them like this, low impact bump drives. Instead around here, they pull out the pots and pans and cow bells, start screaming and hollering and deer hit Mach 12 and head to the next county and we don't see any wildlife for the next 6 weeks. Pro tip: to keep powder dry, put a condom on the end of the muzzle loader and electrical tape it on, and put a copious amount of the anti seize type stuff on your breach plug and a small bit around your primer to water proof it

A muzzleloader caretaking video would be great. My dad tried muzzleloader hunting once and didn’t like it because the muzzleloader wasn’t a through clean it once and you’re good, so I don’t know what he was using for cleaning it or what muzzleloader it was cause he got rid of it.
