TOP said that after his marijuana trial and unalive attempt that he would never promote music in S. Korea again. He didn't call it an attempt but there's no denying that's pretty much what is was due to the insane and disgusting media and netizen attacks that had to have triggered him. He's also someone who has battled with depression and anxiety so it's understandable to me that he wants to remove himself from Kpop. This wasn't the best way, but he felt it was what he had to do. I don't think he's 100% estranged from GD, Taeyang, and Daesung. IMHO TOP needs time to himself since he's prepping for Squid Game's release and more press and netizen comments (so many tried to get him removed when his casting was announced).

T.O.P. Got BBs blessings to leave. The other members rather see him happy and mentally healthy. If you were a fan you would have noticed how each time renewal of contracts came up he really wasn’t looking forward to them and stalled the most. He even openly said “YGE should be worried, they shouldn’t relax” back in 2011 and again each time renewals happened. He kept his promise to remain as 5 each time but when Seungri broke that promise he also called it quits. BB has never liked the public being involved in their friendships or communications. All of them said that they felt bothered whenever the netizens presumed their fights when they didn’t wish a happy birthday on SNS when in reality they all called each other personally on big events. GD was mad when the media said he didn’t attend idols funerals when in reality he did attend but came in and out of the public eye stating it’s disrespectful to get photographed in those situations in the first place. Daesung was even shy when saying that between members they say I LOVE YOU at the end of calls. He said at first it was weird but now they do it with ease. It’s a big deal when even Korean Men don’t say it to their own parents.

If you’re a true VIP, you’d know that wasn’t just by chance. It was GD’s way of saying happy birthday to TOP, even without posting it publicly on social media. Their bond as BIGBANG is built on brotherhood, and it's not easy for them to forget one another.

I heard that the question was designed to make him get hate. He was only given 2ne1 and another group, and a producer as a choice. He started off his answer with, “if big bang was a choice I would pick us.” So it sounded like he only picked 2ne1, because he is closer to them and felt it was a safer choice. The real problem is that variety show and asking questions they know will stir up drama. That’s the exact kind of BS that caused TOP to quit and ended up not wanting anything to do with that side of the industry

Because people don't want to see the court documents of Seungri that he's innocent on most of allegations. He got buried by the higher ups who involved in the illegal stuffs, he become the fall guy for them. The prostitution allegations against Seungri already cleared in the court, the victims said it's not him but the other senior celebrity who did it. Even the Molka group chat, he's not part of it. The police never release the chats to public so how the journalists can get them? Later on, the journalists confessed that they edit some chats to make Seungri is part of the Molka GC, for views.
