What do you recommend one or two batteries for 48 V

I personally like the single Falcon single battery. Both are fine.

Not to sound picky or anything but you should have put a battery on each side to even out your weight
@kiladadeo

OKI saw that you put on both in the middle that even's out your weight. But I would still put a battery on each side and mount all your electronics on the back wall that will give you more storage between the batteries.

I Installed the Falcon Elite Kit 120Ah in my Icon L6 48V and get no response, all utilities work, I removed the O.E. onboard Charger to be replaced with Big Batteries Charger. When I press the pedal, it clicks but goes nowhere, any advice would be appreciated ??

I know that this is year late , but that charger does not look anything like the charger from the Big Battery kit, it is certainly not water resistant. Maybe you could show us how to crimp new lugs, I appreciate your videos.

Are Big Battery Chargers By Pass chargers. I have an old 2003 CC DS and I'm wondering if I need to by pass the OBC to use this charger.
@kartkrazy
@kartkrazy Жыл бұрын
Depends on how you wire the BB charger
@kerrykoehler9112
@kerrykoehler9112 Жыл бұрын
@@kartkrazy Wow, thanks for your quick reply! ok, we’ll, BB only says to disconnect the pos and neg leads of the charger port from the cart and connect to their busbar. On my ‘03 CC DS the neg lead goes directly into the back of the OBC. So, I’d need to cut it at the OBC, put a new ring terminal on it and connect it to the busbar. Do you think that’s it? The pos lead is already connected to the main battery pack pos terminal.

@@Jared535 …I haven’t tracked it with a odometer but my trips don’t change much and the lead acid lasted longer . The main problem with the lithium is you have to be very careful when you get down to under 40% . Under 40% and you take a chance of having to wake the batteries up which I don’t have the charger for . I got lucky already once by charging them separately and it worked but they were only low not asleep.

Yeah, I was looking at $1200 for 4 12 volts so I made the jump to LiFePO4. Since my cart gets daily 25-35 miles I also went ahead and went 72 volts. My lead Trojans lasted 2 years so I'll never go lead again. Big Battery guarantees 3500 charge cycles, that's TEN YEARS. The are expensive but way cheaper in the long run.

You can buy a Anderson Connector bulkhead to keep from raising the seat each time. Makes for a cleaner installation. Even if you only stay on paved roads dust, debris, and moisture still gets in that well area. My Club Car has a tub for the batteries and I still get plenty of junk that needs blown out periodically.
