I do appreciate the fact that you were able to speak to Yuki Kajiura's vocal writing and her masterful use of harmonies (especially the Crunchy sort) to give character and layers to her songs, so they are not just pop bangers. Kajiura likes to blend different things it seems, musically, vocally (harmony and even timbres and vocal genre types) and instrumentally, because her musical exposure growing up included opera, classical, pop, folk and much more.

YESSSS QUEENS Definitely need to check out more Yuki Kajiura stuff, both with Kalafina and FictionJunction. So underrated and underrepresented in the music reaction scene.

You're kind to react to these Kalafina songs. I would suggest that you also watch some FICTION JUNCTION, who are the personal project of Yuki Kajiura, and she plays with them on live performances.

Awesome reaction! I'd love to see more Kalafina reactions, I would suggest Yami no Uta for a song showing Keiko strong points, In Every Nothing for Hikaru's and Ashita no Keshiki for Wakana's. As for the group performance Usumurasaki is a very mysterious song with great line distribution between the members, I think you would enjoy it a lot!

The funny thing is that Keiko's low singing voice tricks you into thinking her speaking voice would have a similar low tone, but it's actually quite high comparatively. 😅 All three of them have lovely voices but there's just something so intriguing about Keiko's voice. I love it. There were a couple of videos of them performing their song "Red Moon" that were absolutely stunning but unfortunately they seem to have been geoblocked. It makes me sad; there's a short part at the end where Keiko sings at the higher end of her range and is it ever powerful.

Thank you thank you so much for doing Kalafina. I love loooove Yuki Kajiura and hope to see more reactions to her music. The studio live performances are bad ass!

Akagi Rie is a wonderful flute player. I learned flute because of her and Kajiura Yuki.
