Bigfoot Festival & Our Search for Campsites

We attended the Metaline Falls 2024 Bigfoot Festival at the peak of a passing storm. We didn't let the inclement weather affect us. Instead, we embraced shortened lines, grabbed a delicious cinnamon and sugar elephant ear and a hot cup of coffee, and took to the booths.
With an upcoming adventure in Ione, Washington, we decided to take some time to explore the various campsites near Metaline Falls and Ione along beautiful Lake Sullivan.

I love the Bigfoot festival! Sullivan Lake has a grizzly bear population (Yellowstone’s problem grizzlies are collared and released around there).
