@@HelosWorldRailroadReseller I keep spending $4 at the bins to buy games that sell for $10 and take a long time to list. At $1 buy in that game becomes worth it as the profit is nearly double.

That was a good point. I've often thought back to when I first tried selling on eBay. It was probably early 2006, but I had an account from 2000. I don't remember if I bought anything between 2000 and 2006; but I don't recall selling anything. In 2006 I remember trying to sell a native American doll I found somewhere. eBay had warnings about labeling it native American. I lost money because eBay claimed I should put free shipping. Somehow I thought it was going to work out. It did not even have the basic items needed for reselling at the time.

@@HelosWorldRailroadReseller I cut my comment short hoping it would not get blacked. Moral of the story was I wish I had stuck with it. When I picked it up again in 2019 I ended up figuring a lot of it out and making out very well at the time. Right now other things are taking away from eBay

Odd question here. Anyone can answer if they are interested. Maybe get the party started. If you had a supply of a single item that was 6oz or less to ship and the supply was free to you, how would you price it if it didn't already have sales history you could see. The idea is that it would likely be a slow but consistent seller. Would you stay away from it, would you calculate the cost of a poly mailer, a label, and your time to package and then add a price?
@HelosWorldRailroadReseller4 ай бұрын
I guess it would be based on other similar things in the category. No matter the cost to you, I buy into the start high and you can go lower. I have stopped free shipping but maybe you bend the rules and list two variations of key words. So one version is $14.99 plus shipping. The other is $19.99 free shipping. Good food for thought question

Sometimes I put those odd eye catchers as auctions,low price and mention my store for like minded items.Auctions get more traffic and I kinda view them as advertising...Carry on.
