This is amazing. My favorites among what you said - 1. Illusion of options (because of social media) 2. Woman replaces her requirement of validation from her man to "Likes" and "comments" on social media. And Man replaces woman to pornography. It's brilliant.

I think the biggest issue is that most of us shouldn’t get into relationships so quickly. We need to vet more carefully. I submit that most of those 75 percent of relationships that fail should never have been established in the first place…

@@WilliamNordeste Indeed. I’m guilty of getting into my last relationship when I knew there were a few red flags in the beginning that I overlooked. Of course the “relationship” ended 4 months later because of those very same red flags. Strangely enough I still consider that experience as a success, because I learned to trust myself even more now going forward. If during the dating phase there are red flags that can’t be explained reasonably then I’m out. No question…

The biggest issue is personal insecurities that sabotage the relationship. I ticked off all the boxes for a person but he sabotaged the relationship because he didn't feel that he could measure up. He then entered a long-term relationship with an abusive woman who he put up with for almost a decade. The entire time he kept his options opened, too. He stayed with this woman because he was getting just enough of everything from her, sex, companionship, part-time family, etc. but he never wanted to marry her and he knew that whatever she did would never hurt him. This man had a lot of emotional trauma from his first relationship with an ex who cheated on him repeatedly. Then he he was also in a marriage with a physically abusive woman. I finally realized that he was too broken to know how to be in a healthy relationship with a healthy person.

She brings up a good point about understanding our flaws and recognizing how that will affect our partner. Most people are damaged from childhood because our parents are human and can not meet our needs. If we would admit our flaws and look for someone who compliments us, our odds increase. If we are lucky, maybe 10% of the opposite gender is what we really need to be happy.

I agree with you 100% and thank you for the blunt, honest discussion. I also think values has to do with it. Terrible parenting from the start. Not teaching kids empathy, good communication skills, gratitude, the golden rule, etc etc. has raised generations of self centered, emotionally ignorant, self unaware dopamine junkies who use people as tools. And the internet, social media and pornography is so destructive for so many reasons. It makes me so sad and idk the solution

0:29: 😔 Many relationships fail within the first year due to struggles in finding a great partner, dealing with personal wounds, and navigating traumas. 2:28: 💔 In relationships, our insecurities can resurface and impact the relationship negatively, so it's important to be aware of them and create buffers to prevent them from ruining the relationship. 5:07: 😕 The rise of social media, online dating, and feminism has contributed to the creation of a generation of narcissistic women who blame others for their poor choices. 7:44: 💡 The speaker discusses the idea that women have more options for validation online compared to men, who rely on pornography. 10:06: 💔 The video discusses how the inability to commit in relationships can lead to an identity crisis and a lack of care for others. We need to learn to love ourselves first and accept ourselves as we are, and apply that type of love to our close one, try to accept someone w/o changing other person w/o any acceptations just let that person be and see how do you feel around that person. If u can't accept that person with all their good, bad, and ugly w/o hurting urself its not ur person.

Wounds… oh she’s totally right. We are blind of our own wounds, we don’t take the time to heal properly and we get into relationships and we even get married and realize after that we made a huge mistake. Which is my case, just after couple months of marriage I realized that I wasn’t ready due to so much trauma I’ve been suffering from…now known. I’m ending it but most of my people turned their back on me just because they don’t understand my choices. We need to love ourselves first, it’s important to know yourself as a person before even thinking about being with someone and expecting from them to be our savior or anything we may be seeking.

To be honest, you could apply this at a deeper level in the UK at least. We have a NationalHealth Service which should really be called a national illness service. It focuses on treating symptoms rather than root causes. I see this in the rise of overweight people who are not necessarily obese, but have a host of problems or symptoms, which are solved by the treating the symptoms rather than the core problem. Invalidating people’s treatment until they lose weight sounds to me extreme but on the balance of probability it would work. We could start by telling people to lose a bit of weight or do some more exercise. I would also take this opportunity to suggest that in the UK at least we are a nation of functional alcoholics. If you ever have cause to go to A&E on a Friday or a Saturday night, you will see a system swamped by people who have had accidents because they drank too much, but no one dares say it.

She missed the fact that these poor choices women make are and always have been supported, encouraged and financially rewarded by a patriarchal society. Women didn’t make the rules, we weren’t even allowed in the room. And when women play and make money in this game of life, because now they understand the game that they can never win, they are condemned not by other women, but by the very same men that moments earlier paid his OnlyFans subscription for the month.

But it's still your choice to be a gold digger looking for a spe*m bank/meal ticket instead of a real partnership. Yes, I do agree that's what women are generally socialized to be. And now the Red Pill Movement is further brainwashing men to seek this kind of low value woman. But foresight is our responsibility. Obviously, Mr. Red Flags moneybags is not going to be a great husband and father! Stop doing it. Got to school, work at a career so you are never some man's dependant. If you don't make great money or find a real partnership in which to raise kids, you can still foster or volunteer with kids.

I liked Steve speaks said: most marriage and relationships these days are not a real good match anyway. Why? Because people conditioned by what to look for in a partner? We have such cognitive dissonance what we really want with what the society taught us what we want. We looking into a person who must have some money, some good education, good looking, good status, good background, that’s how we choose a life time partner. We don’t go into our true self, our soul to find that real love. We call what we have is “ love”. Almost all of us came down to earth with traumas, it is just at different levels. We came to earth as a soul to learn how to truly love, how to go back become love in us. If we don’t understand that we all have some self work to do, heal what we needs to heal, we all set up for a failure in any relationship. Because if you don’t facing your own problems, the universe will use another wrong person ) which in our eyes we found “ love) to cause you pain and suffer, to use pain to eventually wake you up. Either way, we all will get there.

@@melmel7011 she was previously married and just off a bad divorce and an 8 year old boy, she was wounded by her previous relationship and I’d never been in a relationship before that was serious let alone a married. I was ill prepared for the experience which had many levels of trauma due to her previous relationship. Yes eventually, I contributed to the toxicity of the relationship as a highly reactionary person. We had some of the greatest times of our lives, and like wise some of the deepest saddest days of our lives as her past could be triggered randomly. We are best of friends and better friends than husband and wife now, and stay in daily contact most often or sometimes go a week or two without talking to each other. My stepson has his first child now at 42 and we have navigated the past to create a positive future but separated financially and not living together. I’m 67 and she is 66 years now & I plan on moving to the Philippines to live full time next Oct 2024 and go back and forth to USA every year to keep up with my businesses and maintaining my healthcare, and stay in touch with my first family, while hopefully having a future to share with another in my life.

You know it took me 6 months into my relationship to call my boyfriend my boyfriend. I think having open communication is important and I asked him for our titles because I didn't want to assume a relationship that wasn't even there and I think that's really a problem for younger generations. Even in my Millennial generation, when I was young I was shocked at how many people labeled their status a relationship so quickly and then was disappointed when they were broken up in a month. Personally believe a lot of those "relationships" weren't even there in the first place, just dating phase. Mainly because a lot of people date other people or doing other things while saying they're with so and so.

I think the description of assigning , 'Narcism' to women, is a bit exaggerated and too strong to describe young women for simply having lots of choices and validation options. Narcism is more than just being someone with choices who does not have to give in to badly behaved partners. Narcissism breeds in men more than women because womens' interests are fulfilled when she receives loyalty and marriage whereas mens' interests can be fulfilled with the easier option of fornication only ie without marriage; given that marriage involves financial commitment from the husband. So it is the male gender who has lots of reasons not to marry whereas women need the marriage in-order to access a safe home for child bearing and child raising.

Pfff… yeah. I am really glad i am not of the social media generation. However, I see more and more young people choosing to go without social media.

Putting someone else’s wellbeing above your own isn’t necessary, most people don’t do basics let’s not be greedy here. If someone cares for you he/ she will put your wellbeing as equal to theirs. And that’s the bottom line really, when someone cares their actions show it.

Well Sadia, you’re with a man like I wanted. Can’t even remember who I asked at the moment. Yeah, giving a person in doubt, the two of you, the thing that he wants? Is that such a sin? I mean wasn’t that worth it? One guy, a little less screwed up in the world, like you believe what he’s after? That speaks volumes to me about you two as persons.
