Caught a big 'ol surf perch today. The thing must have weighed over two pounds! We were down by Monterey again fishing from the rocks. Also, show some simple tips on how to make the most of your time at beach when you hit the water to fish.

Just found your video, liked and subscribed to your channel. I fish in the tide pools area around HMB so appreciate all the videos and drone footage that you have. Pretty cool since I can show my kids what the fishing spots look like along with all the cool sea creatures you can see during low tide. 2 thumbs up. The drones footage are nice to show how beautiful California coastal waters are

Oh yeah, people have been catching a lot of Halibut just inside the Golden Gate Bridge over here on live anchovies. 100 anchovies for $20 at the local pier, fish all day. If you ever drop by the Bay Area and want to go fishing, hit me up! I've yet to catch a halibut... Great channel too btw. Your vid is the reason why I'm wary of those sting rays. Went right through your boot!

Matt, what I started using to carry my tackle is a bigger fanny pack, you can pick them up at thrift stores for just about nothing.....I use the running packs that have the water bottles on the sides, kinda kills two birds with one stone so to speak....really enjoy your videos.

You must shop at Gus' Tackle out in the avenues (Pucci snaps and swivels). Matts, if you ever decide to come fishing in Shasta Co., give me a holler and I'll hook you up. One more thing, when fishing calm water coves full of kelp, use Senkos or Zoom Flukes rigged weedless and with no weight or very little weight. You can let it fall between the kelp without fear of snagging up
