I’m sooo jealous you have beautiful health trees! I just started trying to get different varieties in the passed two years was really disappointed when I lost my raspberry latte & Black Madeira! I’m in zone 9a have 1/2 acre property and I’m now retired so I spend lots of time in my garden I’m growing a Smith,Yolo,Chicago hardy,CDD, Brown Turkey it’s gotten so expensive one cutting for 20-30$ so if you fail with the cutting your out of $. Love your videos Thank you

I grew pretty much all my figs from cutting in january 2023. Then got a grow tent. Put my little cuttings in it they didnt do much til april hit and then they started growing fast. My goal was to make them grow in a single trunk. Pinch it at 16-24 inches and form the second year growth or forks. It worked and im getting main crop. Some were behind and idk if im going to gwt anything like champagne and holier. I have 40-50 figs in each tree and they have out grown their 5 gal pots

Wow I did 47 varieties in February from cutting put them in 5 gallon pots and about two months later put them in 27 gallon pots I pinch them around 15 inches hight A lot of them are showing good lateral side shoots and I couldn’t be happier and barely watering since they are in huge pots im loving it

@@petergraves9006 i put mine on 5 and 7 gal for trial and decide what i can keep and what i cant. My trees have 2 years of growing season growth under a year of age, trunk is more than an inch thick. But my place is limited and my grow tent is a 5x5 for head start. So i need to to decide what goes in and what doesnt and doesnt need to.

Just catching up on videos and I love your videos. I love your energy and excitement. I’ll have to check out my Atreano for comparison of your dessert king not. IMO you should be fine going down to 10 gallon pots because of the way you feed your trees. They might not produce as many figs, but again you feed them well , they might produce. I would like for you to try to put a couple in ground with protection. Just for an experiment. Thanks for sharing, Homer❤😊
