Hi Steve, good to see a new video mate. Me and my missus is doing the Lands End to John O'Groats trip from Simon Weirs book. We live in West Yorkshire, so we have the same problem as you, being in the middle of the route. What we decided to do was to do it in 2 trips, the first to Scotland and incorporate the NC600 and then in spring down to Lands End doing a different route down then follow Simon's route back up to Hebden Bridge. Looking forward to this years videos, cheers

Hi Steve. Sounds like a good year coming up, (for you and us watching). I've also been looking at the Lands End to John O'Groats as a project for this year. The Simon Weir route looks fabulous, but I've just read "Another Journey through Britain" by Mark Probert. Well worth a read and a contender. Cheers and keep travelling. Al.

Hi Ajay does the book have a map of the route he takes as at the moment I'm looking for a route to get down to Lands end and a route home from JOGs when complete. As you know you have to do it twice wherever you live in the country. this could combine Simon Weir's and the one you have got. thanks my friend.

Good to see ya back out and about Steve. Just a point about the Cardo's, one of them can bring your Bluetooth unit into the group via the bridge facility in the cardo. You can then talk to the whole group as normal. The only requisite is that whichever one of them you bridge with, you have to stay within range of them otherwise you lose connection to the whole group. Also with the Cardo's, if one of them gets a phone call, they can bring that phone call into the whole group. Good bit of kit 👍
@Steve-Clark-1200rt

@@Steve-Clark-1200rt Yes you can, we've done it before with the cardo's, but if you lose connection it doesn't automatically connect again if you go out of range from the one you're bridged to.

It's kind of weird that I was just looking through my subs list the other day and saw your channel and wondered whether you're okay as you'd not posted in some time. Glad that you've not crossed over to the other side just yet (and I don't mean the cardo) 😀 Your comment about the gritters, it's probably the whole of North of England that had that extra layer of grit for good measure. I had to wash my Speed Triple to get the last week as I didn't want the salt eating the bike as it was white all over from the layer of dried salt and road grime. A European trip would be great to see. Looking forward to those videos if you head off in that direction. If you're doing the Land's end to John O'Groats, why not do all corners? You're near to furthest East already, then do Land's End, on the way up, most Westerly in Wales before Scotland and the ride home. Just a thought. (It's probably just a little more to the overall mileage) Thx G

Hi George I use Sony Vegas Pro 14 for all my editing but while I've been using it versions 15,16,17 and think 18 are now out but I'm used to 14 so stick with it. It edits loads of formats my friend.

@@Steve-Clark-1200rt thanks Steve I have just this second watched it as I found it looking through your videos, I was in two minds last year whether or not to buy an r1200rt but then I seen the vid why you changed bikes, and it put me off so I went and bought a vfr800, but coming from my last bike( transalp 650) it's not as comfy but still a great bike. I'm thinking of the rt again but once iv done my tour of Germany this summer on the vfr I may decide to keep or change for an r1200rt.
