Nice loco. My limited edition flying Scotsman came with that connection to the tender. Much better than the old type. Have fun with it

I ordered Lord President from Kernow,got the parcel opened up and it said same loco on the box.Loco inside is Thane of Fife,didn't know that was available.Beautiful model,Hornby at their best (apart from putting the right model in the right box)!

Hi Matt, A very good review. About the connection between the loco & tender, I think it is the first loco of the main fleet to have it. I bought a Dublo Flying Scotsman last year & that had the same loco- tender connection. Certainly a vast improvement of the old one though.

I like the detailing and the tender on this more, but I prefer a better quality valve-gear representation like no° 2002 has. Still the price is my biggest issue + the import taxes to the EU since that stupid BRexit, if I'd want one.

Absolutely lovely. I looked at one of the streamlined ones on my channel, and had a fantastic experience with it. Shame that the extra gear part isn't metal though.
