A little frustrated. I'm in the States and placed my BigScreen Beyond order on Oct.22nd and still have not gotten it yet. After writing them a "Happy 5 Month Anniversary" on March 22nd (I'm snarky that way), I have been ASSURED that it will ship within the next 30 days. This game looks like a lot of relaxing fun and I may wait to check it out until AFTER my BSB arrives. (I do have other alternatives) . Wish I could play this on the AVP as I imagine it would look spectacular there as well. Love the content. Keep it rolling. Be well. :)

@@williamcalderini6370 Whenever Bigscreen tells you a timeline for something you should go to random number generator that generates numbers from 2 to 6 and add what you get as months to the given timeline. It's usually a pretty accurate way to tell. Also just so you know they used the IPD unit you were supposed to get for another order likely placed after yours. That's the usual thing going on with them. They are waiting for IPD stock for 3 weeks now and allegedely were supposed to get it twice already. Yet there are still delays. CEO claims they didn't because of alleged Chinese holiday but if you look at the calendar the last holiday was in the mid February (chinese new year). Plenty of time to receive stock but you know - he hopes noone is going to fact check him so he would rather lie to customers like he's been doing for months now.

After getting the correct ipd and face cushion, the Beyond is pretty awesome. They were super responsive to any issues I was having. For such a custom device I honestly didn't think they are making money this generation. They're building for the future.

I doubt Valve would want to do bussiness with a company who's CEO is insulting a large group of his own customers because they pointed out his lies, poor attitude and lack of detailed information regarding shipping issues and orders' fulfillment order.

@chadef555 Didn't know how severe the fulfillment issues were. But if the Big Screen engineers worked with valve, and let them handle and manufacturing and customer side, they could make very tiny deckard since that design really compliments the portability and convenience of stand-alone vr.

@@Nicodeeemus Honestly I'm pretty sure if Valve wanted to , they would go for smaller form factor. However as small as Bigscreen is probably too small and it has it's disadvantages. Anything larger and with 250-300g should be still light and small enough. As for shipping issues and communication - yeah. It's a dumpster fire. Putting aside the poor treatment. The orders aren't even send in order. Plenty of people who ordered half a year or more later were getting their units while others much earlier orders waited despite having confirmation their order passed QC and all. Not mentioning many orders are not manufactured as Bigscreen claims as plenty of people who's headsets were supposed to be ready are still not yet there. Then you have the IPD stock. People with same IPD from orders 1 or 2 months further have headsets while people earlier have to wait for their IPD unit. Add to that blatant lies about production capacity. Supposedely they had 80units per hour which would put it at around 60000 units a month yet they somehow lack many IPD units - they didn't even sell 100k (way short of 100k actually). So they should have more than enough back up stock at any point in time. Then you add crap like them saying that all is ready for shipping just to say month later that formalities are not done while in the meantime they were berating customers for speaking up. Imagine waiting so long, getting your order delayed so much, then you end up having to replace cushion and/or headset for different IPD. And you have to wait another few weeks or months. That of course if you get to have a perfect fit after first replacement. The entire situation is a massive can of worms that Bigscreen is effectively ignoring and always brushes off and puts the blame everywhere else but not on themselves while there are clearly plenty of things they could've done earlier to prevent many of this - starting from being clear and honest about everything going on

not really having shipping issues anymore, and the team gave regular updates to the process and explained what was causing any delay. here is the update from March 29th. (I do want to say that, YES there were major shipping issues last year. Starting in December most of them were resolved, the rest are now over as well and they are catching up quickly.) shanks - 03/29/2024 12:56 PM Hey @everyone, back with another Bigscreen Beyond devlog! We accomplished a lot in March. Proud of the Bigscreen team for pulling off a monumental feat with international shipping. After several months of customs, shipping, and logistics delays, we've now successfully shipped to all worldwide countries. We expect to finish shipping all remaining Bigscreen Beyond orders within the next 6-8 weeks (for 2023-2024 orders, worldwide). By June, we expect Beyond to ship within 2 weeks of placing your order. We're 1-2 weeks behind schedule on completing the USA 2023 orders due to the Chinese New Year holiday, but overseas production has resumed at full speed and we're now back on track. Also, after multiple production builds and listening to customer feedback, Audio Strap mass production is now ramping up and we're starting to send out units to reviewers! mann i have enough money to buy it rn but honestly feels like waiting for the next gen of it or valve next gen as well before pulling the trigger, honestly i just want the comfort of it because in terms of vr headset, i already have more than enough, got both quest pro and pico 4, and honestly they already very great, just missing the oled and comfort, but then i'll be tethered and restricted to base station space

LOL. Just commented the same above. 5 months to the day on March 22nd. HOPEFULLY, they'll roll out soon. I threatened to cancel after 6 months, but I doubt I would go through with it. Really wanting the 4K OLED LIGHT experience. Been playing with the AVP and it's wonderful but after a couple of hours you DO feel like you are wearing a brick on your face. Hope you get yours soon.

can you do a side by side of some super dark games with the beyond and the quest 3. I have a quest 3 and I feel like everything is super gray and colors are ass. Even my index seemed to have better colors.

You would love the Beyond. There is no comparison to the Quest 3 in dark scenes!

pretty simple comparison, the displays that the Beyond uses actually turn off to show black, so if the devs coded it to be 100% black, there is simply no light from the pixels for that area. I just wish they had used larger lenses.

after the form factor of the bigscreen beyond, there’s absolutely no reason for companies to release future headsets any bigger than this. they must be this size or smaller going forward. if a small start up company can already achieve this, there is absolutely no reason bigger companies cant achieve the same thing but with even better features. i really hope that the quest 4 will be this size or even thinner

I think the size will increase, even if there is a BSB 2 model, it will be larger. This one is as small as it can be with the displays they used and anything coming after will have a larger display and 8k or higher resolution, so they will have to be bigger. You can add eye tracking to the BSB, but it really needs to be thicker to have "good" 1st party eye tracking included. So I don't see how future models from any company will be as small, unless you want AR glasses (I know I do, I'm hoping Google/Apple/Samsung makes a smartphone replacement glasses).

@@richardnoall3758 just so you know they were promising to fulfill all international orders in end of November to December 2023. We have end of March and plenty of 2023 orders are still not even manufactured. Something they don't want to admit directly but judging from ipd stock shortages it's obvious. They lied at every step pretty much throughout last few months when it comes to shipping. Don't believe anything Bigscreen says.

Oh man, why can't you guys just relax and enjoy the content. Only a few independent VR KZbinrs left that will not only tell you about how amazing Meta is. I had no contact with Bigscreen whatsoever recently and this is not some paid campaign. If it was I would have disclosed it anyways.

How many VR headsets outside of Meta are there to talk about anymore? There's the Vision Pro, the Crystal, the Beyond... and... ummm... that's pretty much it. Everything else on the market is either gone or irrelevant. So if you have two KZbinrs that talk about non-Meta headsets, the chances that they will cover the same one by coincidence aren't exactly low.

Don´t you think that 37 minutes is toooo much just to describe the features of this headset. It would be better to make some objetive measures of FOV or through the lense pictures...
