That's simply because deliveries-to existing customers who preordered in February- *are* indeed beginning in Q3. It is not referring to new orders. If you order today, your headset will most likely ship in mid to late Q4. So, by the end of this year.

I'm really looking forward to picking up a pair of these before the end of the year. It would be awesome if you had some info on your website suggesting other purchases so a new VR user knows what they need for a proper setup for PC. I'm sure I'm gonna need controllers and a steam VR box for tracking, it would be great if I had a reference to what else I should plan on purchasing for the best experience.

You can get Valve Index controllers and two Steam VR Lighthouse Base Station 2.0. Controllers come in and out of stock now and then.

Here's the minimum specs from their store page: 16gb RAM Quad core CPU RTX 2070 or RX 5700 XT I'd recommend more than this, 32gb RAM and at least a 3070 or equivalent with at least 12gb of VRAM, if you'd like to run any game above minimum graphics. You also need two SteamVR compatible controllers, the best available IMO being Valve Index controllers, and at least one base station 1.0 or 2.0, though two is recommended for better tracking quality.

What about the FOV? I know that it is smaller then Index FOV unfortunatelly. But how can you compare it with Pico4 for example? And what about the Glare? Is it worse then on the Index or the same or may be less ?

The day we get a wireless one, sure! Im not going back to the cables as it is. But im happy to see that we have a small VR. Right now, I have the Quest 3, and beeing freed from wires from the last headset i had was to big of an improvement. There will be allways this issue with the cable, if you are not sitting in your cheer. I want a headset where i can use it anywhere

Hey, Bigscreen! I'm not sure if you look at your video comments, but if you do, please take a minute to read this. I just watched a video of the Star One headset with a 210⁰ FOV. It seems that they use every inside part of the headset as a lens to get the best view, not 2 small circular lenses inside it. I think you should look into that headset and see if anything from that can be used in your design. Your intention of making the headset small means using as much of the little space as you can. It would be amazing to see that as part of another headset, especially a small one. You seem to be the only manufacturer that listens to the consumers. Thrillseeker made a video and has one (or at least borrowed one,) so contacting him about the headset would be helpful.

@@1uponu705 This isn't designed for any market that Quest users would be in, its very high end. Much better resolution and weight than Quest ever could be, but more expensive. If it were inside out tracked and untethered, it would weigh three or four times more.

Best of luck with your new Beyond headsets mates. This is def on my radar to replace my +4yo Vive Pro1 (AMOLED screens, 2x2.0 base stations, Etsy lens mod, and Index controllers). While, thanks to my i913900k/rtx4090 I can super sample the heck out of my VP1, the SDE is still way too much. I'm sure I'd benefit a lot from Beyond's higher res micro-oled displays. I like the small form factor but I'd prefer a bit larger facial interface that would be glasses friendly, also with an adjustable IPD and built-in audio. Of course, wireless would be nice as well, lol! I kinda think I'm going to have to wait for the Beyond the Beyond headset for all that. Still, great to see you release the first micro-oled PCVR headset. Good luck and best cheers from Australia.

I been waiting since April for Europe pre orders, estimated for January. I bought a Quest 3 to try it in case i may cancel the pre order, but every meta stuff with vive trackers is an absolute nightmare to calibrate, and had a bad experience with Meta before so i returned it, the delay for EU is becoming too much. My interest is not watching movies but VRChat, which is actually similar to that purpose, because social platform and talking to people while laying down serves almost the same purpose, plus can always watch movies thru VRC, my valve index is barely alive at this point.

That ancient bit of kit, DK2, had OLED and aspherics (and I still use it). Apart from resolution it's superior to any LCD/fresnel headset. Anything is better than fresnels.

If its such a small and incredible device that doesn't need much overhead for materials, why not market it at an affordable price to compete with say the upcoming Quest 3, steal from that market share and force your way into the VR world? With its 1369 Eur price tag, its so far out of reach for most VR users that its basically irrelevant, especially since you also need a pair of controllers and a pair of sensors, adding the cost up to at or over 2000 Eur, which is absolutely insane. I would LOVE to pick up one of these but its so far out of reach .. I'll be buying the Quest 3 when it hits stores with its much more affordable 500 Eur full package, as much as I dislike Meta and their echo-system ..
