An excellent demonstration of what an American family farm truly is. Appropriately sized, well maintained equipment. And those 10 wheelers!! Take me back to when we farmed with pride.

I envy the job you have of finding these machines and hanging around to film them. Reminds me of childhood in the 70's and 80's when my brother and I were standing at the edge of any field being worked waiting for the operator to invite us on for a ride. Great times!!

Ours 95 9500 is still our main combine. 2486 sep hours. It is a corn special with the 9600 engine. Did 350 acres a year till 2010. Now we're doing 700 ac with an 2007 893 corn head. Thanks for the vid. I believe ours may be the lowest hour 9500 in Canada.

Good job finding that clean looking and working 9500! Always thought a lot of the maximizer machines. First one I was in was a brand new 9400 when they came out we hired our cutting done that year. Guess I still have a soft spot for the conventional cylinder machines. Also a thumbs up on that slick ln8000 truck too!!

Nice video... We have a 9500 combine that we use in Tanzania East Africa to harvest Safflower and Corn, It's a very good machine. We also have a extension for the grain tank.so we can take 5400 kg. safflower. It's a great challenge with very dusty conditions, the radiator have to be cleaned every hour.. Welcome to Tanzania and have a look..

For my Farming Simulator 19 friends, SiiD Modding has made an immaculate 9510 Maximizer, and it is detailed to the max! Even the overhead console lights alert you to various things, and the cab has a slight shake to it when you kick on the header. If you want to experience this machine for yourself, that's the mod to get! Thanks for sharing BTP!

@dwightl5863
@dwightl5863 4 жыл бұрын
The aim is always to get as good a sample as possible without any loss. The old stationary threshers did an excellent job. The older combines required manual fine tuning for good results and thus results could vary as the day wore on. Whereas the latest combines will adjust themselves as conditions change. IMHO anyways.

Great video. Do you know why John Deere produced different combines for Europe at that time? When Maximizer was running in America, in Europe there were the "Z series" (2066, 2266...) combines which looked very similar to the Maximizers. I don't know what was the reason to do that. Does anyone know this maybe?

What's the purpose of the reels? I think that's what they are called. It doesn't seem like they really do much.
@bigtractorpower
@bigtractorpower 4 жыл бұрын
Good question. The reel sweeps the crop into the header. If it was just the sickles the crop could fall forward or bunch up. The reel guides the cut crop to the feeder house that pulls the material into the thresher.
