JD, I think with what your trying to accomplish with ride quality as well as protection of the RV and it’s contents you should go with the equa-flex

I agree, I have the equa-flex and it really does smooth out the trailer. I haven't used the other ones but I'll be buying this again if I get a new trailer.

I installed the Dexter E-Z flex with Dexter shackle kit on our Winnebago Minnie this past spring(scaled at 6750 lbs). Easy Install. Was a bit stiff initially but after 3K miles this year I think the rubber has relaxed a bit. Definitely smoother than stock. I've greased the bushings every 2k miles.

Dexter all day long, very robust and the least likely to have rubber block issues. Mine took a couple thousand miles to soften up a bit. You can see the difference with before and after pics. However the best upgrade you could do is to add shock absorbers. This was the biggest single noticeable upgrade I've done to our trailer.

Equaflex. I have had a pair running for three years with wet bolts on an open range ultra. I love the smooth feel when driving.

I have the dexter.easy flex Like this product...I just need the thicker shackle hangers. My previous RV had the traditional all steel equalizer and I feel a huge difference, especially on rough roads. For leaf spring suspension, these products are a must have...makes towing much nicer.

I would go with the Dexter because of the fit. My camper came with the red dexter and I just replaced it when adding wet bolt kit. The old one still looked ok. I also looked at the options you have but the fitment was the reason I stayed with dexter.

I'd go with the red one. It will loosen over time. It will also give you longevity because you're not traveling in the unit while driving.

Road armor, best ride. The Dexter works well on heavier trailers. The CRE3000 made little difference, as the center bolt only allows up and down movement and doesn’t really absorb when hitting pot holes. I can still hear the trailer rattle behind me 😂. What really quieted the trailer and gave a nice ride was the sumo springs.

I have added the E-Z flex to my springdale 220BHWE a couple years ago, it seems to be good in its bump control, I pull the trailer on bumpy dirt road often and noticed a differance. Would go with them again. Also with the basic dexter EQ and the OEM one on your trailer is that the dexter one has brass bushings where the trailer OEM one is most likely plastic bushing. The E-Z flex moves independently the same as the equa-flex

CRE3000 & Road Armor will settle as noted above. They are design to compress a bit, Road Armor a little less so.

After traveling 6000 miles on a trip out west over very rough roads in the midwest and colorado, we added the Dexter and it was a dramatic difference on our Grand Design Imagine 22 RBE. Very smooth ride over the roughest of roads. Traveling with about 6500 lbs

Without a doubt the Road Armor if it will fit. I’ve also used the equa flex and it rode well on my Winnebago TT. Go with the equa flex and Morryde.

I have the red Dexter E-Z flex with Dexter shackle kit on my 40' Bighorn fifth wheel. No issues at all.

Because the Road Armour and the Cree are on stock units, I would be interested to see the Equa Flex. I ran an air equalizer on our last fifth wheel , and worked very well.

JD The cree 3000 also comes as a cree33 3000 with a wider spaced bracket for 33" spaced axles. I upgraded it on my 40' 5er 2 years ago with heavey duty shackles. It works grate.

I have the Dexter axels on my 2023 Rockwood MiniLite and love them and the ride they give the coach. I know what I have and the Dexter in this video are not the same product I will still go with the Dexter!

Just had to repair the leaf springs on the venom 5th wheel. Broken center bolts and bent u bolts. This damaged the shackle on both right side springs replaced all the center bolts upgraded to 9/16 u bolts and went from equal flex to road armor with wet bolts.

I have used 3 of these on my 2016 fifth wheel 43’ voltage. That bottom black one is 6 months old and still working well. The blue on the far left side lasted 8 months. At the bottom of the silver piece a bolt goes thru with plastic bushings on each side and wear out causing it to angle out and in… The top yellow bends very soon . It is made in 2 half with the rubber insert . This means the two sides are not welded together , that would cause a Rubber fire at the assembly point 😮 the bottom stock black piece is in current use and works well for the last 6 months. I have all wet bolts and replace bushings with bronze and replace earlier than later. Triple axles cause problems. I have welded cross bracing double 1/4” brace plates over each hanger18” wide and 2”by 2” square thick wall tube from hanger to hanger x4 . I am completing a spray solution on the rear axle tires to allow side swing something safe for the environment bio degradable and pleasant smelling 😕and allows side slipping on the rear tires. The only thing I can think of is a product called KY & water what so ya think? 🧐🫣😂

So I got the Dexter have not got it installed yet long story but the Dexter was significantly cheaper and included the wet bolts and all the hardware so I say test the dexter is that the product possibly more people are going to go with

I’ve had the Dexter on my trailer for 4 years now and no issues because I didn’t have enough clearance for the ride height if I had gone with the lippert the tires may have contacted the wheel well thanks jd

I would go with Blue ! Replaced in 2019 on our 30' toyhauler putting on the road armour along with heavy duty shackles. Best ride now with happier co-rider getting less neck pains. I have replaced 3,500# to 5,200# axles due to bowed axles being to light for road condition in Ontario and Michigan.

I believe the equa-flex is the best option for your application. There just doesn’t seem to be enough give in the Dexter for a camper. For a flatbed/cargo trailer, I’d go Dexter.

MoRide makes different sizes of the CRE 3000. See if they will send you a set.

Try the Dexter. The Equaflex has a design issue IMO and IME. Might be fine on that light TT, but it fails quickly in heavy 5er applications. I prefer the MORryde. On our current 5er, which came with Equaflex from the factory, one side failed in 26 months with only ~12,000 miles. I rebuilt the suspension with MORryde components, including the CRE3000, and have 3 years and ~31,000 miles on this setup. Good luck with your evaluation!

The USA made Dexter fit on my Heartland 231ML perfectly and works much better than the basic equalizer - smoother more controlled ride.

I think there are 2 different models of the cree 3000 for different spaces between the axle. If I remember correctly it's under the moryde website.

LC279687 is for 4000 - 6000 lbs. weight capacity. If you measure center to center on your hubs (wheelbase), this should be for a 33" wheelbase. LC279688 is for 5000 - 8000 lbs. weight capacity. If you measure center to center on your hubs (wheelbase), this should be for a 35" wheelbase. Looks like you may have simply had the wrong equilizer for your application.

I'd give the Equiflex a try. The softer rubber compound and dual motion would probably give a lighter travel trailer a better ride than the Dexter with the hard rubber compound.

Does the Surveyor have 3500lb axles? Also I would go dexter/dexter.

The center equalizer does NOT place neither axle. The axle spread is set by the most leading and the most trailing leaf spring eye. Any of those equalizers would work. Actually the CRE being wider helps to eliminate shackle flip that can occur during heavy braking.

I agree, I fear the biggest issue is the shackle straps contacting the body of the equalizer. Folks have said this has happened.

I would like to see the dexter in action with a camera on it while you are driving. it is going to preload itself with the weight of the trailer on it so that will allow some negative travel from ride height

Which ever seems more appropriate for the trailers weight you said the red Dexter was extremely hard so it might make your trailer which is relatively light actually ride rougher I'm saying you wouldn't put off road shocks on a Cadillac or VW beetle shocks on your Denali .

Equaflex...had mine for years now and it gives one amazing tow. Dexter is great quality as well but too stiff imo....for me most morryde anything is junk

I wouldn't use any of these. Go to the best, Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Springs have a lifetime warranty and each axle will be independent. All of the ones you are selecting from will all fail, the rubber cracks and the holes will wear out.

System won't fit. Made for wider spread and larger axles....so if I did use them they would be the most unsafe of them all :)

Sorry to be the grammar nazi. Suspension damps movement by controlling absorbing energy. A bucket dampens suspension when you dump water on your suspension parts. Damping not dampening. It’s nit picky you are trying to educate people about suspension so terms are important.
