Hi Mel after watching this and seeing your live last weekend I thought I’d share this with you! I have a Ecoflow can’t remember which model But this is my tip for making the most use of these power banks. I work as a home delivery driver for a large supermarket chain. So take my Ecoflow into work and plug it into the 12v socket in the van I’m driving and by the end of my shift it’s normally fully charged. Then I use it at home to run my tv 📺 charge phones,iPad and MacBook then take it back to work on my next shift and charge it again. I did ok this with my boss but as I’m only using the 12v in the van I’m not costing the company any money 👍

The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

Ecoflow really did improve the River 2. Now it charges faster than ever and would only need an hour to fully charge.

I was looking at the 1st one to buy, then saw mels video yesterday- n there's a £50 difference, n wondering if its worth going with river 2, as the person who recommended their 1st was very happy with it ! Do you know if I can plug any make solar panel into it, rather than buying theirs ?

If you want to charge the ecoflow stealthfully then use the USB type c port. The fan won't pop on. Or you can flip everyone off and let them hear the fan for 60 minutes 😀

It seems pretty good, nearly £600 for the unit and solar panels,...Still a fair bit of money for those on a tight budget, but then again you don't have to have solar i suppose, but you would still need access to power, so not really convinced, the Jackery Explorer 500 is less, so i guess its a matter of choice,..Great review tho,...🙏

Good vid thanks. looking at the solar panel (probably the 160w). I intend to connect the solar to the leisure battery under the drivers seat. I have a VW campervan and just looking to keep the lights on, charge the phone and the fridge. The question I have is, what portable inverter would be best to attach to the leisure battery so that my wife can charge her laptop. If the price is too much or not competitive, I will look at the Eco flow river 2. any advice is welcomed

Just wanted to throw this out there bud, you said it had wifi and bluetooth, so we know bluetooth will only work whilst in range so will the ecoflow connect to your network in the van then can the app control it whilst you are out of range of bluetooth thus using a WiFi connection? Thanks bud

You must of upset Bluetti Mel😂 they recently released the EB3A,, it's that good I bought one and makes the river 2 look mediocre + 40 mins 80% charge,No brick,UPS function 200w solar input a 600w inverter and it's currently connected to a120 amp 24v battery to expand the battery capacity. I could even charge it with my Dewalt battery's if the sun don't shine 😁 but the main reason I bought it is for the UPS function.

Agree Chris, the EB3A is a great little unit. Hopefully Mel will review one soon. I bought the EB3A to supplement the leisure battery in my T5 LWB campervan and am very pleased with it's performance so far.

I watched Mel's latest vid on the ac200p and charging it off the alternator at 150 watts 😭 and worrying about it lasting. Give me a good B to B anyday. It's Ok shilling them up when your getting them for free.😁

@@rutlandboy I've been doing some testing with the ups function and I'm well impressed, It will pull 600 watts off of the grid without touching the battery, giving you the option to add 200 watts of solar. You could even implement a 600,12 volt inverter and charge the leisure batteries when driving, I've been testing this with a Sterling pro charge ultra 24v at 840 watts it overloads but eases with 20amps at 560 watts

Hi Mel. Thanks for the review. I see that the 12 V cigar lighter style output is only 8 Amps. I have a tyre pump which has a maximum amperage of 10 Amps. Do you know if this means the River 2 would still power it, but at a reduced power? I cannot find the pump's minimum amperage. Best wishes, Ian.

The EF solar panels work great, and the cases for them work nicely as cases, however, imo they're terrible as a prop/stand for the panels. I'd prefer an attached fold-out "kickstand" style on the rear of the panel, such as the Jackery and some others have. I have two River 2's, and they're handy for at home and camp use.

The Ecoflow river 2max is not a good product, mine would not charge on the first try, not with the wall outlet, car adapter or USB. Nothing works and the complaints are everywhere about these units.
