Ingredients
Fish - 1 Kg (मछली)
Onions - 2 (प्याज़)
Mustard Paste - 2 tbsp (सरसों का पेस्ट)
Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp (लहसुन का पेस्ट)
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp (लाल मि र्च पाउडर)
Haldi Powder - 2.5 tsp (हल्दी पाउडर)
Mustard Oil - as required (सरसों का तेल)
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp (सरसों के बीज)
Methi - 1/2 tsp (मेथी)
Green Chilli - 2 (हरी मि र्च)
Tomato - 2 (medium size, chopped) (टमाटर)
Salt to Taste (नमक)
Method of Preparation
Cut, clean and wash fish pieces.
Mix thoroughly 1.5 tsp haldi and 1.5 tsp salt in the fish pieces.
Deep fry in mustard oil.
Heat 4 tbsp of mustard oil in a Kadahi. Add mustard seeds, methi and green chillis.
When seeds crackle, first add 1 tsp haldi, onion, tomato and salt.
Stir fry till tomato is tender. Add garlic paste and stir fry thoroughly for 5 to 7 minutes.
Add mustard paste. Stir fry for 2 minutes.
Add 3 cups of water and let boil for 5 minutes. Add fried fish pieces.
