That is a truly beautiful bike. There is something special about the detail and engineering that goes into Njs parts and when they come together like this even people who don’t know about bikes can appreciate their beauty.

5:06: a 20 second spin test of the cranks. That's the good stuff that for some reason (marketing mainly) became obsolete... ps: Good luck getting those bottom bracket cups out in some years without any mountign paste, especially the drive side!

@@waveywheelies I live in Richmond Texas. It was a struggle for me to find even 1 fixed gear bike worth my size. I got lucky with my felt brougham for $200. And if you're looking for components you are completely out of luck. Only completes or frames as rare as they are themselves.
@humildemarcelo3 жыл бұрын
I have the same problem here in Mexico. You can get easily track parts and frames in Mexico city and other big metropolitan areas but in my city in the south east I think there are only two persons that are into fixed gear. One of those is me and the other is a friend I converted her bike recently. I think we have a mission to grow this community here

Are you OK with the welds around the bottom bracket. That's a lot of paint missing
@waveywheelies3 жыл бұрын
Yep, checked over the whole frame and fork thoroughly. The paint tends to flake where there’s a tiny bit of surface rust or just from paint chips/scratches. The paint seems to chip quite easily, my guess is because the frame is chromed under the paint, making it harder for the paint to stick

@@waveywheelies Did you purposely leave off the plastic sleeve the SG75 BBs usually come with? I've noticed sometimes they're sold on eBay and elsewhere without the sleeve but I've always wondered if they're okay to run without. I know it's just for moisture protection so if you're not riding it in wet weather or keeping it in damp places it's probably fine but curious on your opinion.

I do it just to see how the bearings spin with no resistance from the chain or wheel. There’s a noticeable difference in a lot of different bb’s and crank types
