I would also like a (much) lighter 600. I would happily accept rim brakes to help accomplish that.

have you considered running 700c? Shoot an email to the team - info@prioritybicycles.com and we can chat about it! gearbox is a weight/durability tradeoff, but i am sure there are some ideas here!

Maybe the questioner who asked about the 18 speed might have been talking about the Pinion 18 speed gearbox.

Agreed. And the question about cadence may have been referring to the ratio between sequential gears instead of just high and low range. The 18 speed Pinion overall gear range is similar to the 12 speed but it has smaller jumps between gears to dial in the optimal cadence at any ground speed. While I haven’t really had problems getting a reasonable cadence on my 12 speed pinion I have read that some people find the steps between gears to be more than what they are used to with chain/derailleur bikes.

The 600 is 31 pounds heavy. The Gemini Smart Shift is too pricey, but has the drop bar and 700C tires. Can you make a light gravel bicycle with 700C tires, drop handlebar, and 12 speed Pinion gearbox at the price of the Priority 600?

@@tempest1080 Ok. The 600's C1.12 gear hub instead of the Smart Shift, but with 700C wheels and drop handlebar. When can I order one?

Exploring 700c on the 600 is interesting, and we have had some interest in that. It would make the bike a bit more speedy for those who are interested. While the Gemini isn't cheap, it is a great value compared to it's competition. really great. The shifting system for the pinion isn't inexpensive. The mechanical shifters are also expensive. It is something for us to explore, but again, while the dollar amount is high, the Gemini is a good value.
