@peterclarke7240 Жыл бұрын
And worse, they have police officers who're either too stupid or lazy to understand the laws they're enforcing, or are relying on people not knowing the law so they can clock up more tickets.
@taylorschomer8022 Жыл бұрын
@@peterclarke7240 Yeah I've never had any cop troubles personally. One time a cop told me I was required to stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk... I thought it was a little nitpicky because the pedestrian was all the way on the other side of the road, but technically they were correct. I've had more problems with motorists not understanding the law and objecting to me taking my right of way. Bikes are tricky because legally they straddle the line between a car and a pedestrian. When they're "acting like a car" they're supposed to follow the car rules, and when they're "acting like a pedestrian" they're supposed to follow the pedestrian rules. In practice, that leaves a lot of room for gray area where things can get murky

Mostly police in Ireland keep to the speed limit, park reasonably well in the performance of their duties. The same cannot be said for the cops in the USA where some speed limits are ridiculously slow. In the 1990's the speed limit was a ridiculous 55 mph and strictly enforced with heavy fines. This did not stop police, feds, and other official cars speeding around the place with total impunity. Arrogant behaviour from SS lookalikes especially in Mass.

Hitting people's cars with your bikes is damaging property even if they aren't supposed to be there, especially doing it intentionally
@BIANCOBA8 жыл бұрын
XxTigerxXRainxX It's not okay to hit people's cars or property with your bike. But, at the same time, it's not fair getting a ticket for not going in the bike line when it's imposibble because of all the things that are in it. If they want their property to be respected and not damaged, they have to respect the space and things of everybody else. That includes respecting the bike line , which is the space for bikes Plus it doesn't look like all of that stuff in the bike like are there by accident. Or are you going to tell me that 1:55 those boxes could not be placed anywhere else?
