Bike packing on the GAP Trail 2019

Western Maryland is a beautiful area. I rode the GAP trail from Cumberland Md.to Frostburg Md. and back again. Crushed gravel trail with great views. Both shaded and full sun trail.The railroad is next to you most of the way.This is a great ride.Going west it is up hill all the way to the Continental Divide located just west of Frostburg. Be aware of how much weight you are carrying.You will be pushing the pedals the entire time. No flat or down hill area. After that you will be on basically level trail to Pittsburgh Pa.Headed back east it is down hill the entire way into Cumberland. Good ride for most any skill level.
