BIKE SWAP! | Honda CBF1000 vs Kawasaki GTR1000 | Modern vs Classic

We threatened it and we did it!! I swapped my bike with Kazawhaki( / @kazawhaki60 ) and we chatted about what we liked and didn't like as we rode around some nice roads. No intro and outro? What do people think? I've had mixed feedback on them for ages so I said I'd leave them out for a bit to see :) Also the brakes on this land yacht were genuinely scary :D

I used to have a GTR1000 in that color. It was perfect for commuting to work on rural Texas two-lanes. The tank and bags were huge, it was comfortable, and there was more than enough power for my needs. Luckily, I never had any issues with my front brakes.

I think it was more a lack of use and general care of the bike that led to a lot of it's problems, that and the Irish weather plays hell with stuff! But they're a fantastic bike :)

The only thing I would say is if you're tall the space around the pegs is a big too small, I'd stick with my CBF over one even tho the concours is very cool!

Out of curiosity, why did you change the chain twice already? Eh, I'd probably say the GTR cockpit is cooler.. I like big clusters with lots of instruments and switches, if I had one I'd install cupholders and car radio lol

Both cockpits would be vastly improved if you threw away the phones. I always liked the GTR, but it was my racing days so i missed it. I like the theory of fairings, but being tall never road one that didn't give me double vision and headaches. Yes please fix those brakes. New discs perhaps, EBC for sure and braids........ Always entertaining with Kazawhaki along for the ride.

AH but both phones serve a veeeeery important purpose :P Yeah it is a very nice bike, too cramped for me and the screen is too tall, I'm the same I don't really like tall screens much. They absolutely have to be fixed! They're actually dangerous :D

1986 tech, back to the future shit, where is the flex capacitor? I do like the dash cluster on Kazawhaki's bike. Blink away...😁 Are those exposed wires on Kaz's bike behind the phone? That is a draw back of chains. I brought chain lube on my trip and every night at the hotel we were using it.

I think brakes are very good on kawasaki gtr 1000. Winshield is only problem for tall guy. Perfect bike. 200 km hour top speed. Great acceleration.

Well I later got this bike from Kazawhaki and rebuilt the brakes, added new brake lines and all new fluids etc, I still sound the braking terrible in comparison to every other bike I've ridden, which is quite a few bikes. Great bike and all, but let's not pretend brakes from that era are even sort of comparable to modern semi decent brakes :)

Find the intros on all channels annoying tbh, I might take a break from videos then go binge watch and it's frustrating to see the same thing on every video so I just end up skipping but on the phone it's harder to skip the intro without skipping into the video itself. I press on the video, I know who I'm watching the video from. I might be in the minority though.

Fair! I'll leave them off for a while and see how it works out in the analytics. I completely get why you wouldn't be mad on them and that's why I try keep mine good and short anyway, it's like intros and shit on netflix, most people skip them.
