Hi Rob, not sure if I already mentioned it but I bailed out from KTM. Mid last year I had a stupid long wait for recall parts to be supplied/fitted. Then my dealer gave up his KTM franchise and he informed me of the upcoming financial problems for KTM. I managed to sell the bike at my asking price and then buy a brand new pre-reg speed twin at a massive discount with 4 years warranty, road tax and the first service thrown in. I have to say that I never had a problem with the KTM and my dealer threw in The full tech pack at no cost. I dont regret buying the KTM but I am pleased to have got out of it at the right time. I’m looking forward to some more relaxed rides on the ST this year and won’t stop watching your vids just coz the SDR has gone. Take care, regards Paul

Thanks and congrats on the new ride. Was your dealer Kestral, as that was my local one who just disappeared over night. I don’t think the SDR will go due to the silly money that’s offered by for them but we will see.

My dealer was Popes down here in Gosport (near Portsmouth). KTM just kept making more and more demands on him so he let the franchise go meaning my nearest dealer was 50+ miles away. It was the final thing to drive my decision. 👍

@pauljoel4514 I’ve been to Gosport many times. I have family there lol. I can totally understand your dealer getting annoyed and totally understand you’d not want to travel that far to another.

Great video! Agree with the clickbait thumbnails! I don’t think we will loose KTM! It’s great for me as I’m buying a new 690 and they are a great price at the minute! My Mrs is doing her CBT soon so I’m treating her to the duke 125 which is an amazing bike for a 125 and both at a great price! Cheers Robbie take care!
