The 2022 Yamaha YZ 250 two-stroke is finally back with long-awaited upgrades. We met with the Yamaha crew for our first initial ride on the improved #bLUcRU #two-stroke at State Fair MX.

Ya, I did one of those Yamaha ride days last year. What I discovered and amazed me most was just how fast the modern 250f's are they absolutely rip, making a 450 almost pointless. I would tier out in a couple laps onboard a 450, but on one of these new 250's, which are close to as fast as a 450 I could keep riding.

I had a yz250 last year and went to a honda ride day and was amazed at how boring the 250fs were. It was a big sand track though, so the lack of power was noticeable

@@Dylans503 I was impressed with the 250's in all aspects. The sand didn't slow it down anymore than a 450 would, but I could understand deep sand would be boring even if you were going the same speed

32:1 is always a good baseline and with most guys using 5 gallon cans very easy to mix. Some guys run 40:1 but you may have to play with jetting
