The only problem with the plastic is that later with the sun, the heat, the cold will be break down really easy and with the aluminum holder won’t have that problem

Thanks for sharing. Good point, that is a possibility. My $3 per pair eBay ones are over two years old and still going strong. I have four of them on three different bikes. I also have another one that’s a different brand and a couple years older. All still going strong with no issues. But yes, with the repeated flexing that the plastic holder will experience, the material can fatigue, weaken, and break. I would still recommend it. It can fit a variety of bottle sizes, and is inexpensive to replace if needed. Without the special water bottle, the aluminum holder was completely unusable for me personally.

I agree. I use a Pepsi bottle, it's hard to drink while riding but can carry water more than a regular bicycle bottle also nobody will steal it 😜

The bottle holder is attached to the bike frame with two bolts. There should be two existing tapped holes in the frame to screw the bolts into. The holes may already have bolts in them to plug the holes.

My specific ones are unbranded. They just say “BOTTLE CAGE” on them. I searched bottle holders on eBay and sorted them by cost. It was less than $4 for a pair, including shipping.
