Mustard? It's none of those reasons you mentioned. It is the acetic acid in mustard that your body lacks ion order to make acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter which helps nerves impulses tell your muscle to contract or relax. Vinegar works every time in a little oral spray bottle. My mate just adds vinegar to his water.

Here's a SUPER TIP.... NEVER drink any red fluids before or during a ride. If you get injured badly and need medical attention.... if you happen to throw up( it happens) and your vomit is red... the medics will think something is seriously wrong with you internally and at the hospital they will start sticking tube in you from both directions. I've heard this info personally from a retired firefighter/paramedic.... he's seen it happen many times.

Beef jerky is such a great go to! I really like salted nut rolls, so similar to payday but perhaps a little more fast acting simple sugars (pure glucose braaaaaah!). This was a killer video, great quality and so informational. I subbed you and look forward to more of this kind of content!

I have to watch my sodium and I've been eating the peanut butter kind bars (130mg sodium)and when you showed the payday candy bars the sodium was lower (75mg)...and its cheaper as well...well payday it is.

I’d be careful with the honey packets - usually it’s mostly high fructose corn syrup. Personally, I’ll go for an unprocessed honey put in small jewelry ziplock bags from a craft store. About the size of what you’d buy dr$&s in. The PB&honey with bananas sounds tasty and refreshing.

Yeah, the honey industry is suuuper shady. Some "honey" actually writes that the ingredients are super syrup + chemicals. However worldwide there is also more "real honey" sold, than is produced = fake honey. Honestly, if you can, look for a local beekeeper that sells raw honey, it's mindblowingly much better tasting than anything I ever found in a store. It's also seasonal. Where I live you can get honey produced during the heather bloom, that is the craziest shit. So good.
