I rode the Monumental Loop in NM in March. Hedges Grade reminded me of on of the climb and descents out there. Lots more baby heads though that forces a lot of hike a bike.

I'll backpack on my hardtail polygon xtrada 7 I don't hate on people for having $3,000 bikes and above and I can get racks and stuff if I wanted to to mount on my bike and if I wanted I could put a rigid fork on it which I want it I would just use the lockout plus I got ADHD like super bad and I got the hyper part I'm 39 years old with the energy of the 10-year-old😂😂😂 so it's hard to wear me out I put 20 mi a day on my hardtail and that's mostly urban riding the closest trails to mirror 40 minutes one way drive so a few pounds won't hurt me at all Plus I played ice hockey for 13 years

At 3 minutes and 13 seconds, is the reason why you should really be using shock forks on an off road tour/adventure. The safety and control over your bike is increased exponentially. As oppose to saving 750g to 1kg (2.2lbs). Lastly, even if you don't go down chunky descents like that one. The buzz and vibration is filtered out, with a fork. You will feel less road ragged as a result. Saving weight wont save you from anything.
