Bikepacking the New River Trail State Park

It was late September 2017 when we took off from Galax, VA headed towards Foster Falls Campground where we would camp for our trip. We stopped in Fries, VA along the way for lunch on Day One. On Day Two we left Foster Falls headed to Pulaski and the northern trailhead. We headed back to Foster Falls after lunch in Draper at the Draper General and Mercantile and Trading Company. Day Three had us headed back to Galax, VA to complete the loop. We crossed 3 major bridges and upwards of 30 other smaller bridges, as well as, heading through 2 tunnels along the way. The river was never far away and stayed with us the whole trip.
