Very awesome story. Mine is very similar in alot of ways. Especially the reliance on faith. I quit a really good job to jump out on my own. I prayed one day for an answer on which direction to take. An hour later I was setting up a machine at my job with tears in my eyes. It wasnt sadness. It was overwhelming affirmation from God to take the plunge. The next day I gave my 2 week notice. 6 years later Im the Car Wizard. Lol

It nice to see a kind and genuine person find success in business. To often it's only the greedy, cut throat, jerks, that screw everyone over to get what they have and find success. But you have broken that mold and proven that you can be a decent person who is honest and straightforward and still find much success in business. You deserve it and I hope you continue to find many more years of even more success for you and your family. I hope you bring your kids into the business at as early an age as possible. I got my 1st real job at 13 years old right when I started my freshman year in high school at H & L Sporting Goods while the rest of my friends were just screwing around and playing video games. Which little did I know at the time but H & L Sports was where all the jocks and cheerleaders, basically the cool kids in high school all wanted to get jobs so they could get discounts on their gear. I started that job as a quiet kid who mostly stuck to myself. I grew up in a neighborhood with a lot of older kids who were bullies, so I learned to fly under the radar. But that job helped bring me out of my shell and build my confidence big time. I went from quiet and shy mostly staring at the ground when I walked around. To making friends with the popular kids like the lead cheerleader from our high school who also happened to be the most beautiful girl in the world. While I was sort of nerdy amongst my own classmates I made friends with a bunch of seniors who would give me rides to school, take me to football games and let me sit with them on side lines in senior section, and also being friends with me at school in front of all the other freshman kids which greatly affected my popularity. Nobody is going to make fun or pick on you after they see the prettiest girl in school run up behind you and give you a big hug for covering their shift for them. In fact I remember the first time it happened and when she ran off the other freshman were like what just happened, how do you know her, etc? That little job did so much for teaching me responsibility, work ethics, and confidence in general. That I don't even want to know how my life would have turned out if I had not had that job to build me up when just starting high school. I think small family businesses like H & L are great places to work and teach kids a lot about life and preparing them for the future. I had always wished my family had a legacy like that to take part of and pass down to future generations. I hope you do the same thing with your kids and teach them early the same ethics you have and prepare them to become the next generation of ethical business people and show the rest of the world that people do not have step on the next guy just to get a leg up. And nice guys do not always come in last either.

Sean, As a new subscriber I've been watching many of your videos while we're snowed in here in Texas. I'm enjoying the esprit de corps within your special business. Its refreshing to see a man of faith standing proudly for God. Including your family in many of your segments keeps us all grounded. It reminds us to always keep life in the correct order. 1. God. 2. Family. 3. Job. I enjoy watching you cut up with your employees and customers as you keep it all real. Being humble is honorable and seems to be a common trait at Bikes & Beards. I started riding scooters 58 years ago. Rode across this great land from The South of Texas/Louisiana to the Grand Canyon, Sturgis SD, Iron Butt age 50. Loving all brands and sizes. If it has wheels, burns gasoline and transports a person I love it. Not a brand fanatic, had em all. Currently on a 1964 Honda CA77, 305cc Dream. May God Continue to Bless you and your great family. Keep it up.

Absolutely true about banks, when I didn't need money, tens of thousands were offered to me any time I was there to make a transaction. So you can imagine my surprise when, a decade down the road, when my resources are totally accounted for with payroll, inventory, equipment etc. and I need little bit of breathing room, I get told to jump through hoops, and then....no.! I barely survived, and learned to hate banks!

Hi Sean-glad to see enthusiasm in your business. So many dealers in the UK seem that they cannot be bothered with customers-but there are some excellent ones still. Do you ever get disgruntled customers? If so, how do you deal with them? Do you sell bikes, then buy them back? Love to come out to the US, but bike rental prices are sky high, as is shipping my bike to the US. If I could buy a bike then be able to sell it later, this should be better for me. Can I buy a bike from you even without a US address? Thanks.

This is the most ridiculous crap I've read lately. It's easy to believe something like this when you live your life with your head in the clouds and your fingers in your ears. I can damn near guarantee that if you could find and you took macro data on how many people with grossly successful businesses believe that God made them successful vs people who dont even remotely feel that way, you'd be sideswiped. "God" did NOT make him successful. His linear actions led him down a predictable path of success. This model can be continuously repeated by atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, pagans, muslims, etc. With the same outcome. "God" had nothing to do with any of this... you might say "Well, without God, he would not have met the guy at his church who owned the dealership. Hallelujah!" I call bullshit, sorry. He could have sought out someone else outside of church and ended up in the same situation. I'm perturbed by how willingly ignorant your type are. You rely on a diety to frame your lives because you're too weak to live on your own amongst the chaos of probabilities. You need a story. You need a framework. You need something to coddle you when the silence of night sets in and you're alone with your internal monologue. I used to be you in this sense. Clinging to hope of a luscious beautiful afterlife. It keeps you from the stark possiblity that once you're dead, that's it... I'm glad that's not me anymore. Success is the outcome of the individual's progressive actions, the same as a homeless person isn't homeless because "God" made them poor and starving. It's the repercussions of one's actions, or lack there of. Cheers

A worldly view with a spiritual answer. I was told this" in the world most people borrow money they don't have, to buy things they don't need , to impress people they don't like. God is our source and our supply, he is more than enough, he is El-Shadiah. Worrying involves doubt and fear, so, if you pray why do you worry? easy to say, but challenging to do.I have been there.Good story and great encouragement. Thank you!

I watched pretty much every test ride video you did back then. I still watch your channel daily. You are inspiring in your positivity and the way you love and respect your family. Life is a balance and you certainly seem to be handling that very well. I remember Caleb being *really* loud in the walk around videos. :) Used to have to turn the volume down to watch those.

Nope, not lucky. People create their own "luck". He was going to work hard whether it was successful or not. If it was successful or not after all that hard work, he felt that is how God would have wanted the outcome. That is between him and his faith. Put your fears and worries in the hands of God, then push forward.

@@toddeveretts5595 I don't want to make you change your mind, you can own your opinion and I respect it, but to think that innocents die by the thousands, look the stats of kids that died of starvation last year alone, and to think god gave no fucks about them, but he helped you grow your business sounds absolutely absurd to me, Faith can be a motivator, but to think that there is a "god" behind your success is to affirm god consciously decided to help you and not help all the kids that probably prayed for help a lot more than you, and that makes no logic to me.

Like I worry that I might fail but you answered that question in this video too so thank you for that. All I know is this..... God’s always giving me ideas. I always find a way to talk myself out of it. But then I look at you, Sir and I’m like but you did it. You had a crazy idea and you ran with it. I’m inspired. 2020 I’m going in with a plan to just start implementing all the ideas God has ever given me. One idea at a time of course and I’m gonna keep on going until like you, I can support my family and create my dream job.

God will open doors for you. And he will close them. I set about praying to God if he would open the doors I would never look back. I would forge ahead. The not worry part.....i could worry about NOT worrying. But I found a way to reach that peaceful place. It was my faith in God that he would make a way. But I also prayed for him to not make me guess. Make it clear for me because I usually guess wrong. And every time I'm able to keep moving ahead, when things happen.....OH YES IT IS OBVIOUS. I also pray and offer myself as a tool for God to use in any way. Just put it in front of me. And the first time I prayed this HE DID. HE actually did. But that's another story. GOD BLESS. Your story has given me another boost. Thank you.

Also you help guide me in so many ways not only did you help me find the right bike after researching for years but also helped me see a positive possible future for myself, I’m really interested in your business and how you started it up i would love to be able in time to have put together the same type of business ! Congratulations man your self made lol Seriously though congratulations on your success you deserve it . And thank you for all your words of wisdom in life and of course in bikes ( I ended up buying 2019 xsr 900) love it ! God bless ✌️+❤️

Absolutely amazing and inspirational story, the hardest part of any journey is the first step. You made that step with 1 child and one on the way. Good for you and great for our “millennial” generation. Lol

Great story Sean, I’m in the uk and an avid watcher of your channel, it’s one of the most entertaining channels on utube but I would say that as I love motorbikes:) im now in my sixties and have had a few jobs in my interesting life, I wish I had the push and business skills you had developed as I unfortunately threw my chances away.

Enjoyed listening to this story. It definitely reminds me of my path before my company, the build process the learning curves and even the personality traits that made it hard to settle in the beginning. Even down to faith, we are the same.

Years ago I had the same road blocks, bank won't lend money unless you have the money to cover it... duh, if I had the cash I wouldn't need the loan would I. Started on a shoe string, had to buy parts at same price everyone else did, only making money on the labor. Had to wait for one customer to pay before I could buy parts for the next one, everything went right back in the business, everything. Customers stiff you, or a friend of FRIEND SENDS SOMEBODY AND OF COURSE THEY HAVE A HARD LUCK STORY, you do the job on good faith and get screwed. Despite that, you grow until you have out grown your space, you try to get a business license so you can get parts wholesale, but, the city wants to see the wholesale agreement before giving a permit, on flip side, the wholesaler wants to see the permit/license before giving a contract. The city then wants you to pay additional fees, city, county rules regulations etc. They don't really want to help upstarts.

You have a optimistic vibe about myself young man.. Don't EVER lose that! You will need that trait when things don't immediately go your way. Also, keep GOD 1st! Study a little of HIS word anytime you have a free moment. You'll be light years ahead of ANY young person around you!!! Remember GOD said, "You have not, for you ask not." Be blessed young Sir! 🙏

@@oustenpruitt3484 We are all guilty of worrying sometimes! You must push that feeling away, CONQUER it. GOD will give you everything you need to defeat that what hinders you! I'm a spiritual person and a believer. You will see your loved ones again if you want to. We are only here (on Earth) for a short time. We are the children of GOD and citizens of Heaven.... Remember that! Now get out there in this world and make difference. Our heavenly Father woke us up today for purpose not fear! Be blessed 🙏

If God will's it, it will work out. I had a business once in auto accessories . I didn't include God in the plans. It failed.. It wasn't God that allowed it to fail, no. It was my failure to put GOD in the business. that's why "I" failed. Excellent job you've done young man. 👍👍👍👍
