IM a bike nut and I honestly did not expect the bike to win. The lambo puts sooo much rubber down tot he ground compared to that Busa. The real secret to the bike winning is due to the low end torque. That is what makes that bike arguably one of the best bikes to drag race. It is low and massive mid-range in that big 1300+cc motor.

Probably best starting on a 200 - 400cc but if you don't want to a bandit 600/650 would be a great choice. Cheap to buy/insure and has good performance. Or, I think you're American so an sv650 might be easier to come by in America and still a great bike for a beginner.
