OMG the constant chirping sound is incredible! I know this is an older video but I've just stumbled upon it and I'm hooked. Hubby bought the H2 SX SE and is picking her up on Saturday... I just can't wait to see and hear her! I think a trip to the Isle of Man is on the cards in the near future after watching this. Thanks for a great video!

Excellent, no-nonsense review of the bike with interesting information about the TT to boot. I watched Closer to the Edge a number of times, and this review reminded me of that. This is definitely one of those reviews which will be the standard for others to meet.

What a great all-around video. John has to be one of the better moto "journos" to watch and listen to, with the only problem being he's a dead ringer for a Fagan stunt double. Anyway, this video makes the H2 SX SE seem absolutely extraterrestrial; constant chirping, wavy lights, and otherworldly speed. Well done to you lot, you make this bike look more stunning and appealing than even Kawasaki.

One of the best informal and visually pleasing videos I have ever seen on KZbin, most folk talk over the head cam whilst showing how cool they are. You my friend have talked me into buying this instead of the BMW, (after a test ride that is). 👌

Been going to 'The Island' since 1983! Taken many great bikes over there during that time with the best of them being the Ninja H2 for the last three years. The SX is clearly a great bike and the report is top notch. The advice on learning the course, restraint on the first lap and to ride within your limits is not to be ignored. Best advice I have over that is not to get dragged along by a faster rider. Like the man says - there is no better place to ride than the Isle of Man, and the TT fortnight is an awesom experience.

Tried an H2 SX SE a week ago. Very fun bike for sure. The sound from the compressor when you shift was pretty addictive. I thought the riding position was a bit too aggressive though. Noticeably more so than the Z1000SX I just sold. Which pretty much excludes this bike from a potential future purchase, unless it's possible to raise the bars to the Z1000SX level. And for some reason the bike didn't scare me when I really gave it the beans, like the Hayabusa I had at one point did. Can't understand why, as the Busa had "only" 175 bhp. Peak torque is the same too, because of the H2's compressor. Weight is also about the same. Maybe it's just better balanced and more refined.

Bike World keep up the good work. I find it hard to imagine that there is a day you aren't thrilled at going to work! @bikeworld What a great video. Like most, I've been riding bikes for years, read the magazines and watched all the KZbin videos. This is what we need more of. As you say. Be condescending. I really enjoyed this video. Well done, Sir! Great tour of the island. This bike is pretty amazing. I gave one a sit recently and I was reasonably comfortable on it. I am a bigger dude with long legs so from an ergo standpoint it was pretty sporty for me. But again, it felt good. Of course they would not let me ride it! But it feels really good when you sink into the cockpit and take a riding posture. Overall the bike is beautifully built. I think I could own one. I was waiting for Kawasaki to freshen up the Concours but it never really happened. Seems they have put their chips down on this machine. I gotta ride one!

Our dealership just sold one of these to a guy who pretty much admitted after the paperwork was finalized that it was actually for his 18 year old son. I get the feeling there will be another short blurb about a local fatality soon. Sad. These aren't show off machines for the over confident newbie to make burn out videos with. It takes talent and dedication to harness even a fraction of what this incredible beast can do.

Great report. I was contemplating one of those as my next bike. But, as some others commented, that chirping noise would really annoy me. Sounds like it's about to have a serious mechanical failure. It might be the fastest "sports tourer" but I'll stick to the awesome power and comfort of the BMW K1600 GTL Exclusive - fantastic engine and loaded with gadgets. Think my pillion would agree too ;-) Many thanks for a great insight into the Kawasaki and the TT/Isle of Man.

bampie1 I would like to see comparison proof before I would state any facts. I know for a fact that a stock h2 is faster than a stock zx-14. Although the engine has been slightly tuned down, I would hazard to say this would also be faster than the zx-14, but I don't have any proof yet.

@bampie16 жыл бұрын
I own a ZX14 and have recently ridden the H2SX. The SX is about 10 bhp down on power and at 10200 rpm the power just drops away and thats where the ZX14 is such a better bike to tour on its mid range is fantastic but with the SX you really have to work the engine. This is shown in he torque difference 100ft.lb for the SX 119ft.lb for the ZX14. If you buy a SX and get the ECU flashed then it may be a totally different bike probably better all round than the ZX except for comfort but comparing like for like the SX in my opinion is not worth the extra cost because you get a bike that is less capable.

Thank you for this review of the H2 SX, Bike World. I've watched nearly every H2 SX video on KZbin and this was definitely one of the best. Very informative 👍 Looks like 200 BHP and 102 ft lbs of torque is enough then! I'm seriously considering trading in my 2010 Hayabusa for a H2 SX SE - any reasons why I shouldn't? Edit: I know the ZZR1400 is more of a direct replacement for the 'Busa, but it doesn't chirp!
